This is very true. His albums have ranged from CAC friendly (College Dropout, Graduation) to outright CAC pandering (LR with Jon Brion, Yeezus)
Are we just rewriting history at this point? :what:
The College Dropout was as Blackity-Black an album could be at the time without the "gangsta" persona ducktales that made up the majority of the popular music at the time. :dwillhuh:
Late Registration and Graduation were too.
He made socially conscious songs that made the struggles of Black people the forefront, along with typical rapper humor. :why:

This guy is literally trying to uplift people and show that anything is possible when you believe in yourself and chase your dreams and you guys do nothing but shyt on him and call him a "c00n", he's literally one of the most positive role models we have not only in the black community but in the world community in general :snoop:

Like listen to him when he talks, he's talking about how these major companies box young black kids in the rapper role and don't give them room to grow and he's trying to break that glass ceiling for future generations and yall can't even respect that :aicmon:

Music is subjective so I won't even argue with you guys about it, in my opinion his music is legitimately experimental and influenced by whatever he's listening too at the time and whoever is in his circle contributing to the music and the sound of it, he has yet to make the same album twice which is exactly why he's exciting to me and imo he's never made a bad album but like I said that's all subjective
Couldn't of said it better

All falls down = white people problems masked with black/hip hop flair.

Acting like a girl being to insecure of her parents to drop out of college is a real issue= some over privileged shyt, that would be corny af if he didnt mask it well

That's no even what the whole song is about. omfg yo some of you nikkas are fukking brain dead.

This fool is trying to argue that the subject matter in 'All Falls Down' is tailored towards white people.:snoop:and people are dapping him.:wtf:

"Drug dealer buy Jordan, crackhead buy crack and the white man get paid off of all of that" that is clearly geared towards white people and white college girls :pachaha:

You can make the case that kanye tried to angle some of his stuff musically to white people such as trying to get brownie points for the King Crimson sample

....but I would never draw that conclusion based on his lyrical themes:mjlol:

Them Lo Lifes...
Kanye now is making music for people who want cool points by playing it at a party or namedropping it or talking about him.

I never thought i would see the day that this man and his fans became a monolithic cult.

Combine that with the Yeezy adidas fashion hype and hes now the quintessential tumblr fashion blogger rapper.
I think this was his ultimate goal anyhow, breh.

I think Ye always had this "cult" following attitude since nobody believed in him in the very beginning..

Edit:I remember him saying he was going to tattoo all the number singles he achieved on his arm or something like that, when he h to the izzo dropped..

You already see the shyt he was on..

Honestly I can't stand when non black folks state their views on what being "black" is. Your a clown Monster! Let me guess Black hip hop to you = rapping about some gangsta shyt, sit down little boy. We made this, blues, soul, rock, and will do what we please with all of them! It's funny that non blacks think we can't be diverse, we all have to be 1 way? Kanye's not black enough for you? Your parents need to smash your TV, and you need to get out of your house and mingle with some black folks in real life! Music is subjective though, but you exposed yourself and your expectations of blacks

you're way off the mark. I used those terms 'black and white' cause thats what the average person associates with. Though I know they're not accurate.

My point is Kanye talks about the same shyt people like Greenday or fallout boy do. But gets extra credit for it cause its hip hop. And his main fans wouldn't want to listen to the same content in another genre, or by a rapper who presented himself more as a 'square'
