It's definitely a very scatterbrained album but in many ways it perfectly illustrated Kanye's mind state at this time. It's art imitating life lol.

If the album was trash I'd shyt on it, trust me. I see some Kanye fans on other forums who are really disappointed in it, and it's not getting universal praise from reviewers like previous Kanye albums.

and see, i knew someone would mark this off as "art"
art is subjective too, but this shyt (again, obviously to me lol) is a pile of shyt that he's maskin' as "art"
ain't nothin' ground breakin', great let alone good about this album
like i said, this shyt is a mess and 1 of the worst albums i've ever heard

Music is art :yeshrug: I'm not using the term in a pretentious "art rap" way.

Do you like the first track, Ultralight Beams? Just curious.

This is like a perfect COLI Militant style twitter rant, I love it. The reason I say that is it comes off as you want to agree but it's light weight trolling for attention....attention for TIDAL, his friends business venture.

He is right. He's accomplished a lot and as a black male, regardless of where it is he was born, puts him at a disadvantage. I also think it's stupid for Rolling Stone to have people cover music they are not into. They need to hire more black writers and staff to cover certain albums.

The problem is he doesn't just make 'black music' That is why his biggest or second biggest single to date samples Daft Punk. He's not playing the blues here. The guy isn't Muddy Waters. He makes popular hip hop music for the masses. You know, like Mark Zuckerberg types. The guys who buy his music and enjoy it.

I don't think he's the first, in fact, I'm certain Childish Gambino in all of his corniness
had some words for pitchfork a while back.

Because Pitchfork panned all his albums and mixtapes. That's expected.

Kanye got a 10 and a 9.5 and a 9 from Pitchfork and still doesn't care for them.

Lmao. Now all of a sudden kanye is some pro-black hero smh. Can't believe people falling for this again. He uses 'race' to further his own agenda. Dude does not give a fukk

No, he's pro-kanye. But he's still black.

Forget the lyrics to Gorgeous, brehs.
