Oh, I ain't making no excuses for the man. But Hillary and Trump represent the polar opposite of politics (reality is slightly different) and I think Jay and Bey's support of Hillary inspired Ye's support of Trump and now he's doubling down because not only did Trump win but Ye feels like Trump is being attacked and persecuted for his "outside the box" thoughts. Ye doesn't view Trump as a racist. Ye knows that as a wealthy, connected black man he has nothing to fear from Trump's politics. He knows that the only blacks that Trump can harm are the ones he hasn't identified with in over 15 years. Ye sees Trump's views as a race to the least despised with the average white trash on top and of course the average black American on the bottom. Ye hasn't identified with us in almost a generation, if ever. Providing us music is enough at this point. Ye knows that there will always be a place for wealthy blacks at the table and he's content with that. Trump is content with that. Do you know how many wealthy blacks there are? Not many. And when you're a sleazy, greedy conman you'll stomach a specs of pepper in a sea of salt. So yeah, Ye and Trump are brothers. He knows he has more in common with Donald than he does with the average Coli poster. He has embraced that. And for the petty side of him....he is on the "winning" team. Jay threw his lot in with a loser. This is partially Ye stepping out on his own so to speak. No more big brother.

The sad thing is this is a safe bet for Ye. He has enough talent, clout and connections where he will survive the fallout of an inevitable Trump impeachment/resignation. If Trump gets impeached in November 2018 and Ye drops a statement in January 2019 denouncing him with a hot album to follow up with some pro black social media cliches........we, as in the black "community" will let him come back home.
