Break it down for me what is he implying?

In that snippet he's talking about how ludicrous the idea of race is as it glosses over the differences of people groups in favor of superficial characteristics. The idea of "race" was never to be used for federal programs, because "race" is not scientific or anthropologically sound. And as Kavanaugh intimated when discussing the Black category - a wealthy Nigerian is not the same as a descendant of enslaved peoples from the rural south. Lumping them into the same category where the wealthy Nigerian has a significant chance of admission over the ADOS person isn't helping Harvard achieve the "diversity" it claims it wants. Race ultimately ends up undermining what specific people groups need.

The Hawaiian point then becomes interesting in that Hawaiians disaggregated from the Asian category, and Harvard acknowledged them as their own group as opposed to being Asian.

That was my brief take on his opinion and what you were discussing.

There really is no difference. Umar is a scammer but he’s on point when it comes to speaking on black empowerment and a black agenda.

The aforementioned entertainers are not “scammers” but they don’t know shyt about politics.

She shouldn’t be speaking with any one of them. They want to reach the black community so they reach out to scammers and entertainers :mjlol:

Umar has yet to be proven to a scammer, just alleged. Meanwhile Charlegmane allegedly raped a woman. They reached out to Kai Cenet who had a recent rape scandal with one of his homeboys. Cardi B admitted to drugging black men and robbing them around the same time Umar started talking about opening his school. So thats a bunch of allegeds and an admitted criminal. And just to be clear im not putting any of them on trial right now,we are talking optics. Dont mind @General Mills ,he obviously made a donation to Umar and simply lacks the patience. Not to mention she sat with Howard Stern who I probably dont even need to explain his history as he was famous for racism and misogyny. :respect:

Black only policies aren't viable and don't work because they violate the constitution, so they can be sued out of existence.

So what was the point of trying to pull the very con that black men have been complaining about all year? Which is framing things as being for black people, but actually being for everybody. That in fact might be the basis for the start of the whole #BothSides #NoVote movement. Yet they tried to pull off one last heist in the final hour:mjlol:?

Most probably caught it was sketchy and didnt look like it was really for black men from the jump. But the ones she did manage to fool might feel betrayed by this move.

Oh well, black men would hate to be the reason Kamala is held back and loses. Dont take on too much backlash trying to woo us with fake specefic agendas. It appears its time for sista Kamala to divest once more to save her campaign. Its fine Kamala, black men will be okay.

David Bernstein made the argument. He was on the side of Students for Fair admission in their case that killed AA. He wrote this too.

In my forthcoming book, Classified, I suggest limiting preferences in higher education to descendants of enslaved Americans and residents of Indian reservations.

Lineage-based AA wouldn't work either and it would encounter the same legal challenges as race-based policies because courts would interpret it as a proxy for racial classification. In the Harvard case, the SCOTUS emphasized the unconstitutionality of using race, even indirectly, in determining access to public benefits or education. A policy targeting ADOS and FBA based on ancestry would still face scrutiny under the Equal Protection Clause, as courts would argue that it functionally discriminates on racial lines, leading to the same barriers. It would have been better for AA to survive, so we could advocate off that for something more specific.

I am aware of that. The 14th amendment outlines discrimination based on ethnic origin as well which ADOS/American Freedmen encompasses. That is why reparations makes the most sense for ADOS to push for as opposed to these blanket "Black" policies.

This is the most vile and cynical election cycle of my lifetime. Everyone has lost their fukkin minds. The right has devolved into something so outerspace I can't be bothered to dignify it with my attention. The left has moved in step to neocon status. And people discuss politics/policy/social issues the same way the discuss rival rappers and sports teams. It's always sides over principles. Just utterly depressing stuff.

At this point I don't fault a lot of people checking out from this :manny:

We need to get a special c00n tag for posters on here who justify or keeps excusing the goverment for not having a black agenda which is only meant for black people.

With how powerful and rich america is these agents constantly show up on threads and make all kinds of excuses.....you think these politicians making excuses when they get a call from Lockheed, AIPAC or Haliburton?

These crooked politicians who bend the law when they see fit....but when it comes to black folks who built this shyt getting their rights..."ohhh it has to be studied, the public has to approve, the courts too and then congress...then you need to reelect us for the next 10 elections...then we might be able to give you a 1000 dollar loan" :martin:

Fukk your excuses and start doing right by black folks.

1. Insert Indian, Asian or Trans for black - is this constitutional?!

2. A good start would be school choice.

3. Shouldn't all accounts matter and require regulatory support? I didn't understand.

4. Health equity. Besides more targeted PSAs, what actions can the govt initiate to address the factors creating health disparity among black men? Why is that not in place now?

5. Since we all already sell/smoke weed, she's going to help us do it legally? Desi please.
