Let’s go head and say what needs to be said.

I’m voting for anyone to get Trump out of office but You all really believe Kamala is this transcendent candidate that can pull this off? Obama was a once in a life time candidate, not the norm.

Lord when they start digging into her personal life...the smear tactics :picard:

Her record in California, particularly on criminal justice reform, is less than stellar...and that is being generous

I’m amazed by the amount of y’all who STILL don’t understand a candidate who pushes for reparations will NOT win a primary, let alone win a general election.

I’m not saying we are not entitled to reparations, but look who is in the White House!!! There are not enough black people to swing an election.

How can anyone ever expect whites to vote for reparations???! How many more years have to go by before we stop thinking they will ever do the right thing? Would we vote to put OUR tax dollars towards Native American economies because it’s the RIGHT thing to do?

Getting black businesses and schools funded has to be on a local level. It’s not going to happen on a general level.

Only a WHITE MAN, has the slightest chance of beating Trump, and even HE will have a tough time. A lot of people who claim to hate him are pretending to hate him, because they are terrified of not being liked, and being called racist. Nobody knows who you voted for when you go in that booth.

Presidential elections are about voting based on strategy, and that is still “lesser of two evils” on a GENERAL election. Republicans have a core base who will always vote for them because they think Democrats are heathens who want to kill babies with abortion, and worship the devil. They are fundamental Christians, and believe in having as many children possible, and they all grow to vote Republican. The mainstream examples are the Duggar, and Bates families

Trump is appointing multiple Supreme Court Justices. They stay in office for decades, especially these last two new judges.

Democrats pushing for diversity has not worked. If white women wouldn’t vote for another white woman, why would they vote for an attractive black woman, who is married to a wealthy white man?

Just because something SHOULD be done, doesn’t mean it WILL be done.

this thread didn't take the turn you wanted it to

face it...no one wants a fake establishment status-quo wannabe Obama, even if it's a woman and a POC
I actually enjoy watching y'all smuggly cry about the same shyt for years while making no progress.

I'm not a Harris supporter, but the reasons nikkas are throwing out shows why they're struggling in life.

Black people need to stop voting for the person who looks like them and vote for straight policy.

Vote for the person who wants to:

- abolish private prisons

- legalize weed federally and free non-violent drug offenders

- demilitarize police

- create a universal jobs program

- create a universal healthcare system

All of these policies will GREATLY HELP the black community instantly. Instead of being up in some rich white a$$holes prison, we'll have black males in the workforce making bread for themselves and their families.

THERE'S ONLY ONE CANDIDATE WHO SUPPORTS THESE POLICIES.

I am committed to only supporting people who put Black communities and Native Blacks first -- meaning fighting and committing to help Native Blacks.

Meaning reparations - or at least trying and getting behind the movement. Plus, securing a protected status and separate ethnicity for native Blacks

She will never do that cause she is not Native Black - and it would expose her and the mask she wears.

Basically, I am not down for bi-racials nor - non native Blacks - claiming African-American at this time.

She should claim Jamician- Indian American. She was not raised in America - and just cause she went to Howard and pledge dont make you one of us.

She supports Israel and Zionism -- and illegal immigration.
I don’t support or know much about Kamala...but if this is your criteria, who do you plan on voting for or are you voting?

I'd rather support someone who's fighting for causes that benefit me and my community even if they lose.

You're mentality of "it will never work" isn't healthy for us.

I personally don’t care that she has a white husband, but I think it would be naive to think that it wouldn’t make a difference. I don’t think Obama would of had the same amount of Black support if he had a white wife. Couple that with her terrible record as AG in California, it is going to be a real challenge for her to win imo.

I dont think there are many policies on the table that only help black people, which is the defacto litmus test of the don't vote crowd.

That said, in the primary black people. Should look for meaningful prison reform that includes commutation of sentences for prior offenders, removal of private prison, increased education funding, and expansion of publicly funded Healthcare. That along with the restoration of labor laws (right to organize), fighting gerrymandering, police oversight, keeping Housing affordable and strengthening public transportation all help the black predicament in this country.

Black people should also look for senators and congressmen as well as state and local politicians who also push those goals.

That's from a 1000 feet looking down.

People should also find politicians that support broad goals as well as the personal goals they need since the latter is always going to affect their life more swiftly and directly.

After the primary, it's fukk the republicans and really double down on your other elected officials.

I don't think she has a shot and it's largely because she just doesn't inspire people enough to become president. :manny:

ok i'm on the same page with you. I agree with all of those policy items you mentioned.

now out of all of the candidates that are running in the primary, which one is the closest to agreeing/promoting these policies?
