50% of the country stays home. I'm sure there are Dems, Republicans and Independents in that mix.
Right, the majority of them stay home cuz they don’t care to vote, not because their favorite primary candidate didn’t win and now they’re throwing a temper tantrum “non voting” protest

I mean where are the stats mostly Democrats do that? It sounds good because Hillary lost but is pretty baseless.

i wonder if she keeps picking up steam if biden will be pressured to sit out again. this has been an impressive rollout for her but i'm still skeptical she sells in iowa & NH where there's more retail politicking.

The majority of people who don't vote are broke people who see no value in it or don't make the time/have the resources to go vote. Sanders loss was built on him thinking he could get them to turnout for him. They supported him but they didn't show up enough. That 50% that doesn't vote are the brokest people in America. Calling them any sort of political party may be misguided. They may poll progressive but they simply don't participate.

This happened with some Hillary fans and Obama...luckily he was simply a juggernaut that didn’t need the cry babies to carry him to a win.

Rethugs have had big issues with trump, weren’t super excited about McCain, etc, but they fall in line because a republican in power >>> *

A black Howard graduate who relished locking nikkas up by any means necessary.

Did you read the NYT article on her record As DA and AG?

My cousin is a public defender and he told me he has to deal with these types of black women everyday. They don’t care about the community. All they care about is their conviction rate and climbing the career ladder. He told me has more disdain for these types than the racist white prosecutors he has to fight everyday.

No. Forward it to me, I’ll read it.

I understand where you coming from but I’m willing to give Kamala a chance. Bernie always struck me as the typical liberal with white mans burden complex. He comes across as dismissive and condescending when he’s speaks directly to black people. I’m also a bit turned off by his freedom fighter activist act when he purposely moved to the whitest state in America. It seems a bit counterintuitive for someone with his platform to leave New York. And trust....Trump will be petty enough to point that out. It would be like Barack leaving Chicago to start his political career back home in Hawaii :heh: Barack would look silly trying to connect with the black community if that was the case and I expect Bernie to have the same issue with black voters in the South and the Midwest.

I do concede that Bernie has good ideas but, politicians have been promising the sun and moon every election. I want a realist who has an actual plan, not a flowery idealist who has a million things that he says he going to do when he knows there’s no way to pay for it and that it will never pass on the floor. I was willing to swallow how I felt about him at the time because it was nitpicking and because Hilary stunk worse. I guess I thought even if he wasn’t Obama, if his policies worked out, the tide would hopefully raise all boats. But now that we have a lot of interesting candidates that are running I’m not as interested in him anymore.

Of course if he is nominated, I’ll vote for him.

As far as Kamala goes, I need to read more into her background. I’m not willing to tear her down just yet.

Bernie's approach is always take the maximist position to start. Can't compromise at the start.

We're already paying more for healthcare than if we went into single payer with over 10% uninsured, more underinsured, soaring hospital costs, soaring drug costs, and other costs. Voters number 1 issue in 2018 and in 2020 = healthcare costs.

There's always a way to pay for things when the US Dollar is the world reserve currency and you print your own money. Republicans have no problem doing $2 trillion tax cuts and deficit spending whenever they are in power.

I'm tired of the Dems having to come in and capitulate to closing the deficit when they get back in the WH. Closing the deficit = reverse the tax cuts, reverse the damn Bush tax cuts

Like I said, it sounds good but I don't think it is proven and it is way more complicated than that. For example, did you know 9% of Obama voters turned and voted for Trump. Didn't stay home, they switched sides.

Still blows my mind that anyone thinks Biden is a good candidate. He combines the worst of every other candidate into one package.

* Trash history in national elections

* Puts his foot in his mouth on public stages

* Creepy around women

* Pure establishment

* Not liberal

* Too old

Seriously, there are NO positives to Biden other than "was associated with Obama" and "looks presidential."

That makes sense given independents who swing back and forth as well as the people across the blue wall who voted trump. Again, they have nothing to do with the folks who actively don’t vote because their primary candidate lost
