Beto comes across as genuine, articulate, and doesn't have the same skeletons in the closet (that we know of) that the current candidates have. Many people vote based on who they "like" as a person for the nomination, and vote for charisma. He has far more of that than any of the potential nominees so far.

I'm still debating whether or not this Perception is on purpose. Maybe its done so they can purposefully ignore or downplay any agenda we might have? Or is one segment of black representation too loud, so to speak, compared to the more serious contingent.
