Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
best of luck to breh but it's going to a difficult case to say the least

if he wins though? shyt gonna be like when OJ was acquitted times 2 probably
I don’t even think he’s banking on the win. This will be front page news for months and probably over a year. Especially if it goes to trial.

If he loses, it’s only gonna look bad for the owners, as supporters and mostly us black folks, are gonna go apeshyt again. Players will look down on it. Owners will be trying to change the rules in the middle of this to force standing. Might even be going on during the playoffs and bowl. It’s all gonna look bad and be horrible PR

I think that’s the aim here. Oh you think this is dying down now with your little talks and threats of benching. Ok round 2 here we go

If Goddell is smart he has the Packers sign Kaep and end this. But it seems the owners fear the wrath of Trump and his tweet storms more than a lawsuit.

But the thing is. He wasn't cut. He wasn't even forced out. The 49ers not only didn't fine, suspend him or anything... He was PROMOTED BACK as the starter. And even if being cut were to have happened, they cut almost EVERYONE from the coach on down yet still ERIC REID who been down with Kaepernick, kneeling with him since DAY ONE, still on that team and still protesting.

Kaepernick has all the chips against him.

Suspend for what? He didn't break ANY rules yet no team wanted a sniff of him. That's all the ammo he needs right there. Kap is the FACE of the protest period. They felt that removing him would end the protests. Yall can't be this blind.

I hope wins but players can hardly win any money in regards to their brains getting injured what makes you think he will win

A little different. You are stopping someone from getting work. That's always been taken serious even on the common man level. For years employers were allowed to do black ball people. They try they shyt now and they paying out.

Players and GM's have openly spoke about TO's behavior being the reason they didn't want him on their team (or in their Hall Of Fame :mjcry:), nothing about him not being talented enough, that's black balling. The NFL is very homophobic, Michael Sam sucked so his case is more difficult to prove based on his performance but alot of 'anonymous' GM said the league wasn't ready for a openly gay player. There hasn't been another openly gay player since (2014 if some of you forgot when all that went down).

Now, I'm not saying Kaep doesn't have a case but clearly there are other black balled players with more 'proof'. Hell, I didn't even get into Ray Rice who you could argue was/is blackballed and he has yet to sue.

You really don't see the difference?

Kaepernick hopes to invalidate the CBA through collusion grievance

Free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick has filed a grievance against the NFL alleging collusion in relation to his ongoing unemployment. Eventually, we’ll explain what he needs to prove, and what he doesn’t need to prove, in order to show that collusion occurred. For now, let’s focus on what he wants to do.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Kaepernick wants to trigger termination of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Article 69, Section 2 of the CBA allows for the agreement to be terminated prematurely in the event of proof of collusion. Under Article 17, Section 16(c) of the CBA, termination can arise from only one incident of collusion involving only one player if there is clear and convincing evidence of a violation.

The ramifications would be enormous, and historical. Kaepernick could give all players a tremendous piece of leverage, moving up the expiration of the contract by more than three years and forcing the owners back to the bargaining table.

Former NFL player Sean Gilbert proposed, in connection with his effort to become the NFLPA’s executive director, the potential termination of the CBA in early 2015, based on collusion arising from the funding rule applicable to guaranteed contracts. Gilbert did not win, and the collusion case was never filed.

Union will support Colin Kaepernick’s grievance, but had no role in it

The NFL players’ union says it will support Colin Kaepernick in his grievance against the NFL, but the union also says it had no role in it and didn’t even learn of it until it was reported in the media today.

In a statement issued this evening, the NFL Players Association said it plans to work with Kaepernick advisors.

“Our union has a duty to assist Mr. Kaepernick as we do all players and we will support him,” the statement said. “The NFLPA has been in regular contact with Mr. Kaepernick’s representatives for the past year about his options and our union agreed to follow the direction of his advisors throughout that time. We first learned through media reports today that Mr. Kaepernick filed a grievance claiming collusion through our arbitration system and is represented by his own counsel. We learned that the NFL was informed of his intention to file this grievance before today. We are scheduling a call with his advisors for early this week.”

It’s unclear why Kaepernick and his advisors did not inform the union about the grievance, but the union still seems to think it has a role in helping Kaepernick fight to get back on the field.

The D (where it's so cold)
You really don't see the difference?
I absolutely understand the difference, do you though? There's players RIGHT NOW kneeling/protesting for teams (I can't bother to name names, find them yourself or don't) and they are still employed. The players I mentioned didn't quit/opt out, Colin did but it was completely okay for them not to be hired, yet Colin is going to somehow explain it was a crime for him not to be.
