the game is evolving. catch up or get left behind. you can play action from the pistolcheck running games effectiveness after kaep became the starter, and specifically, once we abandoned him from under center
most impressive start from kaep in terms of passing (vs CHI) was when he took plenty of snaps from under the center
but since we had problems with snaps under center (in the first place) we have since pretty much completely abandoned the iformation. this gives barely any playaction and kinda ruins any power runs weve had
and I dont like that. and yes, I consider all variants of spread offense a gimmick

the problem is we're losing lots of power rushing credibility out of the pistol.
you can do designed qb runs from under the center too
whats so bad about running some plays from the pistol/q and some from the i/pro as opposed to abandoning the i or pro formation completely?
also, pistol formation is old as fukk. its just a cycle. shyt wont be as effective as when it takes the league by surprise, book it. nothing is.
