I agree and disagree with your assessment of Ertz..I dont think he will be Gronk/Graham but I think he is better than Jordan. He is silly athletic for a ...you know
Ertz, like 99% of the really good TE, is a former basketball player..he actually had to be talked out of basketball to concentrate on football. I thought JC was going to be cut to, but JC is a special teams ace and Chip really values that. Unless Brahman and Maragos- come in and clearly supplant Casey as the ST ace, then he stays...I think Chip likes keeping 3-4 TE on the roster.

Jordan Cameron also has a basketball background and compares skill wise to Ertz. He just gets used alot more in that offense (split out wide, etc) cuz they have nothing else.

I forgot about Casey and special teams. Yeah, he's staying because I also think releasing him would create a pile of dead money and not much savings.

I'm expecting our defense to be noticeably improved. 2 years into the 3-4 transition, Jenkins manning the secondary and hopefully Wolff is healthy. I also like the fact that our 4th & 5th CBs (Carroll and Watkins) will mount a challenge to the starters eventually.

Thats tough to choose man. I really like Benns potential & he is a big physical WR. He is also a good special team guy. But he just cant stay healthy. Then you have Smith who is just a solid WR all around. Plus he gives us a KR guy.

Nah ill pass on that. I rather keep Foles. Love Money Manz playing & heart, but our offense is a lot different then Chips at Oregon. Its a little more West Coast meets spread now. Foles is the perfect guy for it. Money Manz likes to run a little more & i dont know if he will be able to hold up getting hit a lot in the NFL.

Lane Johnson got his 4 game suspension today. Im actually not that worried about the lose because we have a solid back up in Allen Barbre. I actually thought Barbre should have been our starting right right guard. Herremans was looking hella at times of last year. So losing Lane shouldnt fukk up our O-line chemistry at all. Plus i think a underrated factor is us having Coach Stout our o-line coach. Dude imo will be the best in the business in about another year.
