McCoy speaking on sproles

"Sproles has the quickest feet I've ever seen out of any player," McCoy said. "He'll help us out tremendously. I think the best thing about him, what he brings to this team is not only leadership and experience, but also just another big playmaker on the team. You talk about losing DeSean (Jackson), but I think Howie (Roseman) and Chip did a great job of bringing another playmaker to our team."

In limited media access to OTAs so far, Jordan Matthews has looked like the best WR on the team, in my opinion, and it hasn't been close.
I knew Matthews was gonna be good as soon i saw this

2nd year in this offense is going to be fun to watch. our 12 personnel is going to cause havoc.

I think Matthews by end of season will pass up Cooper in terms of pecking order. He is going to destroy nicklebacks when blocking and on pass plays.

Losing Djax hurts, but I think we will be ok. Especially if Ertz is developing as advertised.

Looking forward to this season fellas

The one problem I have with Eagles fans (other than the fact that a lot of them are flat out ignorant) is that they keep shoving Nick Foles' name down our throats. Every Eagles fan that I've talked to thinks that there's no chance whatsoever that they lose that division, they can't even see it happening. Do you not realize that it took a 27 TD to 2 INT fluke season by Foles just to get the Eagles to 10-6 and win the weakest division in football? Do you not remember that the team had to hold on for dear life as they clung to a 2 point lead against a backup quarterback and one of the worst defenses in the league? Why does every Eagles fan think that it's unforeseeable to see them going 8-8 and the Giants winning the division, especially with that defense?

I admit there is a good chance that foles takes a step back this yeear and I can guarantee over 2 picks but he showed us that he can be a serviceable qb if not star qb in this system which is all we need. Also your leaving out a few things. One; foles did not start a game until week 6 last year, if he had been starting from the beginning then we would most likely be 12-4. Second our ENTIRE organization had to adjust to the way chip is running things. From what chip was able to show us last year it's hard not to get excited about this season knowing we will have a year of this system/nutrition/playbook under our belts. If our secondary improves I find it very hard to imagine losing the division

The keys to the Eagles having more success can be summed up in two words. "3rd downs"
The Eagles have to convert more 3rd downs and we have to GET THE HELL OFF THE FIELD ON 3rd downs. Last year, who was the slot or 3rd down safety valve, Jason Avant :birdman: HE STINKS. This year we will have either Sproles, Matthews or Ertz playing in the slot and by default we should have more success on 3rd down conversion offensively. Defensively..well...that will be more of a wing and a prayer. It depends how the linebacker battles shapes up. If Marcus Smith can produce and pick up the verbiage then you will see Demeco off the field on 3rd down and they will line up Coles, Smith, Barwin and Kendricks and pin their ears back! Dont b surprised if Billy Davis dials up safety blitzes on 3rd downs using Malcolm Jenkins, who was graded as the best safety in terms of sacking the QB in blitz situations ( I didnt know they graded that)

You do realize that the Giants were 7-9 last year after an 0-6 start? Meaning they ended the season 7-3? And they had the 7th ranked defense in the league? If Eli has a bounceback season this year it's not unreasonable at all to have the Giants winning that division, their offense was the only thing holding them back last season

The record is the record..I dont care if you started 7-3 or ended 7-3..in the end you were below 500.
I still think the Offensive Line will be an issue for the giants which means no running attack which means Eli will be on the ground just as much this year. Maybe he wont throw 345 INT but I dont see a quick turnaround for the Giants in 2014. I do think the Giants are well run and they will get it right, just not this season. I still think the Washington Foreskins pose the biggest threat in the NFC East
