Then that would be making the court 5-4, so the stakes are higher. I also don't think he would limit himself to the same candidates as he did this round.
The 5-4 is better than the 6-3 conservative lean.. 5-4 effectively make the scotus split and Chief Justice the deciding vote..

The stakes being higher and the Republicans being more antagonistic as a result is part of my point. Since we know there's going to be trouble, why not call their bluff and nominate someone who many of them already openly said they would support? If they said straight up that she would get 10+ Republican votes as this nominee, then it would should them as overt hypocrites to oppose her just because she was the next nominee. I know Republicans don't mind looking like overt hypocrites, but wouldn't hurt Biden to score those points rather than have to start an entire new fight with new candidates.

I think Graham said that but no one bought that. He'll probably consult Grassely and Mitch to test the waters anyway.

So Susan collins, murkowski and romney are a Yes on Judge Brown which means we don't need manchin and sinema
Some dems were panicking that those 2 b*stard could vote no, now it doesn't even matter.

It's still fukk all republicans plus machinema and blue dog dems though:pacspit:

When Biden got into office, some were upset that he was calling for reconciliation and bridge building with Republicans. Some wanted blood.
Not thinking of the long term effects of "wanting blood". And why it wasn't practical, politically.

Manchin and Sinema will probably vote yes because the Republicans are.

Romney and Murkowski have announced that they're voting to support KBJ's nomination. I'm surprised that Romney is voting to confirm her.

The final vote later this week will be 53-47.

That’s the bipartisan support Biden was looking for so untimaly when it comes times for Thomas to get bushed republicans can’t bytch about they ain’t supporting Biden’s next pick… GOP opened that door for the next pick to sail through too especially McConnell invoking the nuclear option for a simple majority… McConnell prob wishing he can take that shyt back
