I hate this shyt, truly. Hilarious how this card is only applied for democrat nominated black people. A republican president putting the first black woman on the SC would be ignored and ridiculed. And yes I support this judge and like her, I'm a liberal etc. I'm just tired of how we allow some people to push the button depending on who gets the green light from one party. I don't want to hear a damn thing about a black republican senator being a disgrace for voting against the black judge, as if the blackness is the only thing that matters. When we can magically determine the blackness doesn't matter when it's Clarence Thomas. Then it's about judicial opinions and ideology. Give Tim Scott the same benefit of the doubt. Period.

You're a "liberal" who slanders Ilhan Omar and wants to see her lose but :cape: for Tim Scott?

i understand your point, but lets keep it real - you already know that a black justice appointed by republicans is going to be a super uncle tom. black people as a whole have no reason to pretend that a black judge from either party is the same thing.
democrats often give us hollow symbolism, but we can also at least expect their black nominations to have some support for milquetoast efforts at social redress like affirmative action or voting rights protections.
in other words, when you see tim scott voting against her, you are seeing a black man vote against harm reduction for his own people. this is simply not a neutral behavior. while i think blow's tweet is moot and probably attention seeking, scott does not deserve "the benefit of the doubt".

I'm sure I've called her a dumbass before but I don't remember slandering Omar. Pull receipts please. And while you're at it find some pro-Trump or even pro republican views I generally spout. I just think the way the KBJ/Scott thing is being framed is hypocritical when the historical nature of a black judge or politician only matters if it's a democrat.

Agree with you here. Blow is just floor-showing with that tweet. Under no circumstance would anybody expect Sen. Scott to have voted in favor of Judge Ketanji.
"To be there and look at his face while he voted NO". So dramatic and theatrical.
Black News Channel just folded a few weeks ago, so Blow is trying to get attention as he goes back to the platforms he was on before.

Tim Scott also has presidential ambitions, if he voted for a Democratic SCOTUS appointee he would be saying bye bye at that moment.

. I just think the way the KBJ/Scott thing is being framed is hypocritical when the historical nature of a black judge or politician only matters if it's a democrat.

Recently, a Haitian American (D) was elected to the U.S. House out of South Florida. Several outlets reported that she was the first Congressperson of direct Haitian descent.
Was false, as Mia Love(R) had been elected out of Utah in 2015. I remember when Mia was elected, remember her towing the party line on nearly every issue, and remember her being publicly humiliated by Trump's vile anti-Haitian comments after having towed that line.

But several media outlets erased her from history when covering Chefilus-McCormick winning the seat.

I'm sure you thought this was perfectly acceptable language:

She constantly says outrageous or downright stupid things. Yes being Muslim and a woman is fueling the death threats...but I'm not going to blame Trump putting her on that summer jam screen.

Nor do I think democrats should defend her. She is constantly out of line. Let her drown on her own. For all the "dems don't care about Muslims/black women/etc" shyt you'll see on twitter, the real life response will be muted. Nobody cares in the long run.

She won't win re-election. They're going to bring in some pro business democrat to bounce her and frankly I don't even care.

I think that supports your case @mastermind

Did I really just see somebody call this appointment an empty symbolic victory :mjtf:?

I'm not usually amazed at the horrible takes, trolling, and cognitive dissonance I see on here but this one is horrendous.

Just wait until c00n Thomas is out the paint and Biden gets to pick his successor… The GOP senate melt down will be on 1000… don’t matter tho Biden only need a simple majority thanks to Mitch :mjlol:
Republicans losing ground in the Supreme Court would be a major setback for them. They used Trump's presidency to pack as many justices as they could. Looks like they still didn't do enough. :mjlol::wow:

I stand by that comment and didn’t slander her.

Virtually everything you said in it is wrong, some of it has objectively and explicitly been proven wrong. She won reelection with more votes than the next 3 dems combined.

Not to mention that you showed your ass as a piece of shyt. Literally co-signing Trump putting a Black women on the summer jam screen even though you know it's contributing to her death threats? Of all the dumb shyt people in both parties in the house say, that's the one you choose to rip down?

I was wrong about her being re-elected. No issue with anything else said, nor is it "objectively or explicitly" proven wrong. She's an objective idiot and distraction. Nor did I "cosign" Trump shytting on her. I refused to blame him specifically for death threats.

Again I stand by it, couldn't care less about the criticism. I was accused of being a conservative, then a DNC pundit. For criticizing the hypocritical way they determine who you can and can't be excited about. Ok.
