I watched this film for the first time on VHS rented from Blockbuster.

Previous guy didn't rewind, so when I popped it in.... I saw the beach scene. Rewound the film and started from beginning. I guessed that the beach scene must have been a dream sequence. Film was so long that I forgot that I'd seen the final shot by the end.
