The entire first half of the season is going to be an experiment. Spo is evaluating a lot of new players at the same time and trying to balance offense with defense. He also has to find a way to space the floor with starters that ALL prefer to play midrange and paint games, where the best pure spot up shooter is the power forward. And who knows how long it'll take to figure out the right amount of touches for Whiteside to start a game.
His job isn't as easy a lot of you are making it seem.
Last year it took Steve Kerr some key injuries and almost the entire regular season to realize Draymond Green should start at Center, and that Lee and Iggy should come off the bench. So it'll take Spo time to evaluate the lineups and perfect the rotations.
Truth. It's not just 2K. The devil is all in the details. Look at the natural chemistry Wade and Whiteside have but look at how Dragic seems to have a harder time reading Whiteside's rolls properly despite the fact that they're both great PnR ball handlers.
See, it's little things like that are hard to account for until they happen. Whiteside and Dragic seem like a match made in heaven but it's a little different than on paper.
I think the biggest thing is that we don't use enough motion or action the weak side.
