It's just the way that monster got its arm cut off in the first one was funny as fukk.
In the new ones, these nikkas was jumping all high and the saber fights were doper....that karate movement. I didn't watch them. I just youtubed that shyt. Too lazy to watch them all but imma watch return of the Jewish this week

Exactly. OP, stop the orig trilogy in its trax, and go back to part 1. The series is about the rise, fall and redemption of Anakin. You don't get the full effect unless you watch it in that order. Lucas specifically tweaked it so viewers can ingest it that way.however, he could have started out with episode 1. yeah it's kinda

Honestly, the OG trilogy is a set of movies that you always catch something different in every time you watch, from the seeing the force go from a thing to be reconed with to just a plain old religion, to even realizing that Han Solo actually lost 92 bricks, and that's why he was in trouble with Jabba the Hutt 
He only needs to watch the first 20 minutes before Jar Jar shows up, maybe the pod race, and the final duel with Darth Maul.
And fukk George Lucas' tweaks

phantom menace pretty much hinges on the assumption that the viewer already knows what the force is, what a jedi is, and all that other shyt. not only that but there are lines, cues, gags, etc.... that don't even make sense if you haven't seen the originals. a new hope is still the proper introduction to the story because that's where all the rules and concepts are explained.
lol plus i could only imagine the confusion one would feel watching episode iii for the first time as the final 20 minutes play without any logical explanation just so that the story can be tied into a neat little bow and lead into the original movie.

That shyt must've mind fukked everybody back in 1980....the effects still hold up damn near 40 years later.

Not a damn thang.....Started watching it at 1am and dozed off a few times.Caught most of it, tho----I think I need to start from the beginning of the series.Is The Empire Strikes Back the 2nd part of the story?
