Anyway, pretty good movie. Not messing with Casino Royale though.

I need to go back and watch some of the Timothy Dalton movies apparently.

Maybe my expectations were too high....but I didn't love this

...and I was extremely put off by Bardem's choices. I love him as an actor, but most of his entire first scene, the face to face with Bond, he was just so damn silly and hamming it up. Made it exceptionally hard to picture him as an MI6 agent at any point.

I see where they are going trying to set it up for the Bond we know and love but how am I suppose to believe this is Bond in the beginning when they are already making refrences to him being old and outdated. It was an ok action flick, I perfer my Bond with gadgets and broads. If anything there should be more of him going after chicks if he just starting out.

I love Batman and I love Bond. I don't want to see them living each others lives

I feel like I am in the twilight zone Daltons has been consider the worst Bond in there series.

I see where they are going trying to set it up for the Bond we know and love but how am I suppose to believe this is Bond in the beginning when they are already making refrences to him being old and outdated. It was an ok action flick, I perfer my Bond with gadgets and broads. If anything there should be more of him going after chicks if he just starting out.

That was one of my issues with it too. Casino Royale was the initial retelling of the beginnings of Bond and already he's washed up. And modernizing Bond yet not having cool futuristic gadgets is ass backwards.

Also if you remember when he was talking to Q about how Q is all the agency really needs as he has his computer and bond is just no more than hired killer. Then Bond replies you have got to know when and when not to pull the trigger.

And also when M was on trial and the MPs were telling her that in Modern day we have no need for secret agency's and M replys how MI6 are a necessary evil in the modern world where there are n battlefields and you never know who where or what your enemies are

the whole movie was about self doubt, and whether or not in the modern day people of his trade were needed and you got the answer at the end

the 3 films setup bond perfectly casino royale made him the man QoS gave him his character and Skyfall tied up all loose ends

the next one will be a far more 'Bond' like movie

I like the fact that they dialed it down on the gadgets after Casino Royale. shyt was getting outta control. In Die Another Day they gave Brosnan an invisible car. . It makes the mission almost too easy. The last Bond gadget I was really feeling was the exploding pen in Goldeneye.
