Somewhere tropic...
So I walked into an AD to put my name down for an Oyster Perpetual 39 Black, and she told me 3-9 month wait. Excessive, but meh.

Then I wanted to look at the Black Bay 58 OG as there's a lot of noise about it in watch circles, Hondinkee, etc. I was aware of the wait list which is about 1-3 months, but then the lady told me they have one that came in the day before and they hadn't even put it out yet. So I tried it and fell in love. and bought it:

I'm still on the list fo the OP39, but I won't get it until 2021 she has informed me. So I have a bit of time to think whether I want to part-exchange my Superocean II or stick with it, as the 39 is THE perfect size for a watch, maybe even 38.

Good choice breh

Great watch, I like it more than the new blue one.

It's still crazy to me that there's a wait list for an oyster perpetual :dead: I love the white one but still a wait list for an OP is wild.

I guess if I went to the richer part of London it wouldn’t be on a wait list. I was in my local area.

Only thing she told me was COVID slowed things down and there’s 3/4 people in front of me. Besides that wait lists are foreign to me

Waitlist on the Date Just 41 I could understand. I was actually looking at getting one, but it just FEELS wrong buying an item for that much. Also I dislike the cyclops eye.

So I’m going to wait until next year and see if BaselWorld happens and see who drops something.

Wondering if 36mm is too small for a mans wrist. I’m about 6ft, 230

39mm is perfect but I feel the DJ41 Rhodium dial keeps pulling on my heart strings, but is a little too big.

Then Rolex went and posted this last night:

Ah man, I’m still confused.

So I think I’m going to sell my Breitling whether I get a DJ41 or OP39. I just still can’t decide which one as the DJ41 is amazing except for the Cyclops and I feel if I’m gonna kop something anytime in the next year I should just go knee deep and get the DJ41

After 1st September things should be clearer though

41 is the perfect size for a man, especially your size. 36 is waaaaaay to small.

It doesn't matter about your height or weight, just your wrist size. 36mm will wear nice if your wrist is under 6.5 and fluted bezels tend to make the watch look bigger than it is.

I measured the other day and it’s around 7.2”

picked up my first g-shocks right before the pandemic hit. the 2100 is dope. the square is nostalgic. in poor lighting both are tough to read at a glance, but i like them anyway.

the pandemic inspired me to try mods on a seiko 5 gifted a while back. swapped in a sapphire crystal, coin edge bezel, ceramic insert, nato style band.

always been into watches and keep a modest collection, but wore the s3 frontier most of the time over the past few years. picked up the galaxy watch 3 recently and it's cool, but trying to swap out watches more regularly even just to wear around the house. nice change of scenery.
