He didnt steal plots but more obviously sampled direction styles and scenes from other movies. I guess u can say he gets credit for styles already done before him, and done better.. but it doesnt make him a bad director. i always look foward to a new movie of his.
nikka i know who wrote the fukking script. The point is take Sam jackson out of that movie with someone else and its a good film not a great film...just like resevoir dogs.and who wrote the script to pulp fiction.... what a stupid fukking point.
sam jackson owes his career to tarantino keep it real with nikkas... that movie put him on another level.
Quentins directing style and writing is his true skill. Hes obviously heavily influenced by Leone, Scorcese and asian film directors. Hes not the most original but the thing about his movies is that you know ur gonna see something outside the common formulas of movie making. Hes gonna add everything he can into one flick and usually ur satisfied cuz qt likes to cover all his bases.
I do think b*stards and django dont have the replay value of pulp fiction and res dogs or even jackie brown. His directing might have gotten better but the entertainment factor has kinda decreased imo.
He owes his entire career to Sam Jacksons performance in Pulp Fiction.
