Just how "great" is Tarantino?

His movies are if nothing else entertaining. That's where it ends though. He's not a great director IMO and he sits firmly in the tier with guys like Michael Mann as dudes that don't really make great movies but make entertaining ones.

I've been duped into a couple of his movies after I swore them off, but never again.

People serious about praising his writing abilities? His films are over-the-top, long winded trash that typically need at least 45 minutes cut to the editing room floor to be watchable.

It truly baffles my mind that QT gets the praise that he does.

I like nolan and fincher, but they try to fabricate drama and epicness (especially nolan) in their movies way too much

tarantino defined a style, whether people like it or not. obviously its derived from movies that were kinda cookie cutter. but thats the whole thing, take a tired concept and rework it with twists that were rarely done before.

I mean dude used to be like a video store clerk or somethin so obviously watched a lot of cookie cutter shytty movies in his life

and please why would anyone compare adam sandler to quentin ?

sandler has no fukking talent. 99% of his movies AND acting is garbage and has zero originality nor value.

Truth...fincher and nolan are good directors, but both r overrated. Social network and inception are two of the most overrated movies of the past ten years.

When quentin makes a movie, you know he aint gonna hold back. I can nit pick his movies all day too tho. He aint making perfect films. He just make damn good ones that i will pay to see.
