It's sad that your sister experienced this, hopefully the new school will be better for her.

On the flip side, if you weren't aware before now you got a look what it's like to grow up a black female in this society as well as how media is influencing our black youth in general. Often times black women's complaints are ignored and we're told we are overreacting. It's not about any oppression olympics but just the differences in growing up as a black girl. Media already pushes white supremacy but when your own do the same it hurts even more. You see white boys in school having white girls as their preference, Hispanic boys tend to have a preference for Hispanic girls, but if you see black boys putting you down and preferring everyone else that will have a toll on you. That's what happened to your sister.

Women's value is often tied to looks/beauty unfortunately and black women are not the standard in society. Not to mention, despite people buying body parts to have black women features and using black women slang/talk,we are still looked down upon. Society doesn't view us as desirable or even cool. I want to say more but I'll leave it at that. We have many internal issues we have to deal with as black people, a lot of white supremacy coming from outside the community as well as inside.

The average Black American woman (along with every other demographic) is going to outlive the average Black man by damn near a decade but Black men don't have it the hardest?

Anyways none of this can be solved at the individual or community level. Yall are fixated on the symptoms and not the causes.

Women out live men regardless of racial groups. Our ability to outlive you says nothing about the quality of our lives.

Nope, if you look at the chart....

1.Black women and men didn't diverge til the 50s
2. Black women outlive White men but not until the 70s
3. White men outlive Black men by a decade

Has nothing to do with "women outliving men" and everything to do with the constant threat of death that Black men face that isn't faced by any other demographic...not even Black women.

Whats the next excuse as to why Black men somehow have it easier than Black women?

Most of the responsibility would fall on the men if this was a society that fostered black patriarchy. We live in a society that sabotages black patriarchy tho. You say that black men are abandoning their families and I say that they aren't in families to abandon. A man has no real authority over a woman who becomes pregnant and gives birth to his child. She can do whatever she wants however she wants. If she wants to be a single mother then there's nothing that the man can do. If she decides that she wants to control how the relationship goes then she can do that too because she ultimately has the power. A lot of women raise their kids by themselves because they don't want to raise the kids as a family with the father. A lot of moms are raising kids by multiple men. This is 2016 not 1956. This is a liberal left gay/feminist world.

Leaders have to be groomed. You can't raise a boy irresponsibly in a society that targets him for failure then expect him to grow up to be an effective leader as an adult.
If you abandon your child you abandoned your family. You don't have to marry the woman just don't abandon your child.

Young, Black boys being teased for the way they look...?! :comeon: That never happens especially nowadays. The majority of young, Black men (even if they are ugly in the face) have girls of all ethnicities chasing after them based solely on their bodies, swag and confidence. Some of these high school boys bodies are something else and most don't even work out. Its just in the AA genes. Anyways, what Im trying to say is young Black men have it easier then young Black women.

Your wrong completely, especially wrong for boy's who want to carry themselves with some respect. good luck if your a young male that doesn't listen to rap or curse especially a black young male, you can't me differently because I hear from these type of boy's monthly. And I grew up like that and got swiftly caught up in the game and carried away.

You can't be serious. Black women have the highest domestic violence rates of any race of women and the second highest rates of rape of any race of women. The rates of gunshot deaths of black women have skyrocketed in the past few years. What about that black woman who was shot and killed a few months ago by a black man she turned down? What about that black woman in D.C. that was raped by a black man on a Metro train? We absolutely face violence at obscenely high levels because we have no protection!
Your domestic violence rates don't compare to the everday street violence rates of black men. More black men are murdered in a city like Chicago in one month than black women are murdered by black men throughout the entire country in one year. I didn't say that black women aren't murdered and it isn't a problem. I'm challenging your claim that black women face just as much danger as black men do in the street.

Stop trying to sugar coat the situation or place blame on one gender. The OP's sister was harassed by black boys at her school. It's a fact, it happened. You can't try to deflect to black women because some black boys were being c00ns. If anything, along with the boys being at fault for destroying a little black girl's esteem, you can blame BOTH of their parents. It's obvious that BOTH parents dropped the ball, look at their sons.

It's annoys, disingenuous, and unproductive to constantly ignore a problem. It is fact that there's many self hating black people and some of them are male. Why deflect from the problem or try to shift blame? A problem can't be solved if you won't acknowledge it exists. No one is saying all black boys are c00ns.

And black men aren't the only one being hunted, last time I checked Sandra Bland is black and there are many other black women victims.
I haven't "sugar-coated" anything. I was responding to sentiments that were painting this self hating c00n mentality as mainly it mostly a black male problem. The poster that I quoted even admitted to thinking that this was mainly the responsibility of black men. So take this "don't try and place blame on one gender" shyt to the people that it applies to. Posters in here talking like black males are just inherently self hating c00ns and I'm just putting this shyt in its proper perspective. These boys learn this goon shyt from some where for reasons that need to be examined if we are serious about coming up with solutions. This bullshyt "po black women.....they always got to deal with trifling ass black men" narrative is getting tired and it's hurting us. It's not helping. This is why divisive Willie Lynch type signs are being hung over highway overpasses.

It's not that you can't, it's that you don't want to because you're afraid of the consequences of doing so. You're afraid of the blow back from other black men and so you choose to say and do nothing so as to keep yourself safe. Honestly, most aren't afraid of physical assault or death you just don't want to risk being ostracized from your peers.
When have black men successfully protected black women from anything? Are you familiar with black history?

I freely admit that the black woman's ability to survive is second to none. The military even did a study on black women's low suicide rates to try to figure out why we don't kill ourselves to see if they could use that indie to stop soldier suicides. But again, what does our ability to survive have to do with the quality of our lives? 70 years of suffering and hell isn't better than 50 years of suffering and hell.

A lot of these kids aren't being abandoned tho. Some are being used as pawns by women who only want the men around at their personal convenience. Some are being kept from their fathers altogether. Some were born to women who decided that they wanted to raise them as a single mother.

I saw that passive aggressive comment to the other poster to. Don't accuse me of not caring about black women fakkit.

Violent black men are committing the murders and domestic violence against their women. Sad.

I don't know about any stats about high school dating, but statistics do show black people marry and date each other, mostly.
