However...

The need to ask a child if she's mixed was unnecessary and could've made the child feel uncomfortable.... and the White Plains joke was the kicker... Just unnecessary... Not even funny in a learning environment.

I see now. I'm just glad I experienced this before actually being employed as a full time teacher. Its good wisdom. Now I know what I can and can't do.

Nah. I doubt it will be on a record. I was working through a Temp staffing company. Despite this hiccup, I've established many favorable relationship with many different teachers who I can get recommendation letters from. This won't keep me from a career in education.

That's all that matters. It's just a minor bump in the road. You'll be fine and lesson learned as well. God still has plans for you breh.

Of course they laughed. They're middle school kids. That was my 2nd time teaching at that school because they asked me to come back because the students and the faculty loved me that much. Like some one said in here earlier, I got too comfortable.

They asked you to come back to get more dirt on you and ruin your career for a life time. Chess not checkers.

Oh course they aren't going to tell you honestly how they feel until they can really hurt you while your defenses were down. Just when everything seems right, they slap you back down while making it harder to get up.
