Wait, Does that mean we gotta get some white girls? :youngsabo:

What you think? :myman:

EDIT: BTW where you work and what school did you get your degree from if you dont mind me asking? Its tough to get a decent job with just a chem/bio bachelors degree

better yet.. you can one day create a virus and the only cure for it like that doctor did in Mission Impossible II. you'll be a multi millionaire:krs:

Congrats.

I've been seriously contemplating grad school myself for a while, just don't want any more debt.

Went to CUNY Queen College in NYC. I work as a public health inspector for the city. I was able to get the hook up from a professor at my college with a letter of recommendation and him calling someone he knew in the department after I took the civil service exam. (AKA they moved me up the list) :jawalrus:

Looking to make like 34K-35K this year, which isn't much in the grand scheme of things. But its a lot for me, Im coming from I made 17-18K last few years each, full-time minimum wage. So learning how to manage my money on minimum wage, and not spending my money on dumb shyt I should be able to save about 20K by the end of the year. After two years provisionary, been there 7 months, I'll be making well over 50K automatic. :smugdraper:

Also I live with my parents, so I don't have much living expenses cept car note, (07 Maxima which I bought on my own in the minimum wage days, budget your money) insurance, household cell phone bill (5 phones) and chipping in every now and then.

Best decision I ever made was staying home, everyone of my peers that rushed to move out on their own, struggling to stay afloat with rent and everything else that comes with it. Having crazy roommates, cuz aint no one living by themselves in NYC unless they caking (rent too damn high) and still end up miserable cuz they dont have money left over at the end of the month.

Look into research opportunities with private companies if you were really good in lab work and understood what really was going on in the chemical and biological reactions. Also, look in inspection companies/opportunities and quality/ safety inspection and audits. Also, check your local police department, they might have opportunities in things like crime scene investigation lab work (DNA tests from blood, evidence, gotta know/understand PCR Amp and shyt like that), and forensics/ballistics. Perks for the PD may include passes to park where ever the fukk you want. Check for companies that perform drug tests for employers like Quest Diagnostics.

@OneManGang

I just got accepted to masters program in Biomedical Sciences.

How has graduate school been so far? Is the work/course-load significantly tougher than that of undergrad?

Oh, did i mention im not paying a dime...as long as i take 18 credits a semester for like 3 semesters. :stylin:

For real though, my GPA wasn't even all that. This chemistry shyt wasnt easy. I did well my upper level courses but bullshytted my first 2 years partying and playing ball. I just know i dont wanna be a bum nikka. Pharmacy school after these 2 years and im eating.

Would you mind divulging what your gpa in college was? I ended up with a 2.8 gpa by the time I graduated because I had a little too much fun freshmen and sophomore year. What's been keeping me from considering grad school is the notion that most places won't even bat an eye at you if you don't have a 3.0 cumulative.
