Yes, do you? The numbers hes giving you isnt the metro. He's giving you just south los angeles, not the metropolitan area of LA County which you are confusing it for.
Metro LA (los angeles county) had almost 3,000 murders that year.
to my knowledge, the most murders for 1 county in America history.. someone can correct me though
LA and New York were way different in the 80s and early 90s, both had the rates and total numbers more than any other place in America, including New Orleans.. places like New Orleans, Oakland, Richmond, Detroit, Baltimore, Newark etc etc while super active back then, started getting really hot as LA and NY started slowing down
While New York continues to slow down, LA seems to be heating up slowly again, not really sure whats going on out there..
