That's how so many N.O cats got caught up in Houston for bodies after Katrina. In N.O they have a 60 day rule on all homicides. If you get arrested for murder but nobody comes forward and says it was 100% you that did it in 60 days then they let you go. Cats were being arrested thinking they would be back out until police told them they don't do that 60 days shyt in Houston.

Yeah I first heard of that 60 day shyt when Yella boy was murdered. Had some older cousins down south who lived on and off in NO and on Biloxi.

No..that club shooting was a different case in which nobody got hit but the prosecution used the footage to convict c for the 16 year olds death..on the night of the killing the 16 year old kid beat c murder in a rap battle that they had inside the club, started wolfing talking big shyt putting down nolimit and got into it with souljaslim..they all went outside and when the boy got in c's face soulja reached over c and shot the kid..since c murder was the biggest name there his name rang out and the feds came for him..c aint snitch

This is not true at all.

First of all, Soulja Slim was nowhere near that club the night that kid got killed. Secondly, the kid was a huge No Limit fan; his bedroom wall was plastered with No Limit posters. Dude got killed inside the club, not outside.

This a separate incident..C was mad because they wanted to pat him down and he was totting..when C walks into the club another security guard stops him so C comes back and says "I'm bout to air u nikkas out"..nikkas start running, C pops off and after the first shot his gun jams...this is what was read in court

Security guard used da nikka as a shield :russ:

CMurder was really out here wild....

:picard:

Signed to No Limit*, brother worth millions, and you're shooting the club up for patting you down?

:dead:

Having access to funds either calms one down or enhances their wild side or paranoia.

Nah, N.O is some other shyt because of some of their laws. If you get arrested as murder suspect, the state has 60 days to bring a charge. If they can't, they have to release you.

Its a weird situation with the 60 day rule or technically the 701 rule. Anyway Louisiana has this rule but locks up more people than many states and has the death penalty (shyt a recent study showed the state spends 15 mill a year on the death penalty).

Now saying all of that in the 90s...NO was the wild west. I been going there since the 90s and its night and day from what it is till today.

But the violence was also totally different than in say chicago. It was murders and often time murders for turf or murders for drugs and money. Where as in chicago it was mostly gang murders and murders for drugs and money.

Like I would go to NO and have to keep an eye out on where I was cause I could possibly be killed. But I didn't have to be worried about what color my shirt was or my shoes were cause they could get me killed. So its different (which I had to do in chicago).

Take for example when I use to work in Reynosa mexico. A place that makes the killing in chicago and No and the rest look like childs play. Like everyday I crossed the border I had to be aware of what I did because I could be murdered. But I never worried about being murdered cause my shoes were blue. Now I might get murdered cause I had on nice shoes so someone could take them. But I wasn't gonna be murdered cause my shoes were green and because they were nice.

So I think that was the biggest difference.

Also NO has a up north or out west type of feel because how anything goes...especially back then in the 90s. But you have this liberal city in the heart of the deeeeep conservative south. So that is another reason how folks were shocked by the violence down there (which has been an issue since the 70s).

On the real slim magic and c was always on some shyt
Magic would come to southern to hit licks and collect debts. When no limit took over baton rouge it wasn't nothing to see any of them 3 at dreams vibes e.t.c doing hood shyt. I remember dude on southern football team said c put a pistol in his mouth behind Mercedes. I heard stores of slim b playing basketball with a22 on him in case somebody wanted action.
Dynamic duo those two were.

When CP3 and Magnolia join forces, world beware.

:wow:

But seriously, everything that transpired was so tragic and unnecessary.

I always said C murder wasn't that bright. Your brotha is worth hundreds of millions and your life is set. Why would you do some stupid shyt like this to take away your freedom and sully you and your brothers name and hard work to build an empire.

Imagine working hard as hell to get out the ghetto so you don't end up dead or in jail. To then have your hardwork make you a millionaire only for you to do some dumb shyt that gets you put in jail for life.

Yeah C-Murder is a walking L.

As you get older and look at all things considered, the main thing that made most of these hoods, projects, etc... dangerous and fukked up was how murders and shyt were treated and prosecuted.

Reason why most of these places were the way they were because IF you even did get caught with a body, you could easily beat the case or get a light sentence, 5-10 years or some shyt and be back on the streets. All of that got deadens in the late 90s / early 2000s

Only difference is now they’ve passed laws and sentencing acts to keep mfs locked up basically forever once they get you. And there’s so much surveillance and information.

The mentality was the same anywhere tho and still is in small pockets scattered in most of these cities.
