Herodotus himself got a lot of bad second hand information.

No, you are missing the point :pachaha:
So you're going to discredit the most important cac historian to ever live?

Herodotus generally told it like it was, albeit from a Greek perspective. In regards to the Phoenicians he was very detailed in their descriptions and their origins. Since he actually knew and interacted with them, i'll trust his findings over empty statements by internet historians.

The hoteps are right about just about all early civilizations as being black. Matter fact ancient Europe was black. At some point blacks and whites lived in harmony over in Europe (I'm talking ancient Europe) but it all went to shyt.
Where you get this information from, breh?

Especially the living in harmony stuff. Ancient Europe was anything but harmonious or am I missing something here

Forgive me if you already answered this, I just got in this thread :hubie:

Have you read Herodotus the Histories? If not you need to. Herodotus gives very detailed accounts of the Phonecians and its clear they were black Africans.

They used Egpytian hieroglyphics because their culture was derived from Ancient Egyptian culture.

Not sure why you're trying to shyt on the Phoenician civilization.

Black people according to Herodotus

Phoenicia is where Tyre is but they had settlements along North Africa.

Herodotus didn't go to Phoenicia fam. His account of Phoenicia comes from earlier less reliable European sources.

Take your research and shove it up ya ass breh.
I'm not your enemy breh, but if you are interested in the truth and spreading knowledge, and someone asks you to please to post information to back up what you claim, post your info and share.

I can see you are passionate to the point of absurdity though, so in your feelings that you lash out instead of engaging and exchanging information. So have a good one.

When i read the histories, Herodotus seemed to tell alot of stories between interactions between phoenicia, greeks and romans. I seemed as if it were first hand or at most second hand information he obtained from other phoenicians.

I may be wrong about this, but im certain there was something i read about herodutus and his interactions with Phoenicians.

His actual first hand stuff can be great. Sometimes he tells fictionalized back stories of Greek figures

But there are other people who have had similar interactions and reactions with North Africans too so he can be credible in that regard. Like Al Jahiz. Some also describe Muhammad as black

Race was classified different then

The only place I've heard Herodotus traveled to in Africa was Egypt. All of the other stuff was basically White people folklore he had heard verbally and wrote down but a lot of it turned out to be fictitious.

For example, the Phoenicians could have easily been mistaken for Berber tribes like the Garamantes who were actual Black Africans.

Interesting. You have any good literature regarding the Phoenicians that you recommend?
