My favourite historical theory is that the Dark Ages were actually a time when Europe was ruled by blacks, which is why most of it's records are scrubbed from existence. Specifically after the Moors were driven out of Europe and Colonialism began, which amazingly happened around the same time, funny right?

I'm not saying it's 100% true, but there is some evidence to support the theory, i.e. they couldn't scrub it all with all the countless blacks depicted on many medieval houses' coat of arms and countless medieval statues and monuments of blacks around europe.

Rise and Set Stars

The Moors WERE black, since Moor was just the term to separate advanced blacks from tribal blacks.

So if you met a black person back then and he was well dressed and educated on things besides his village you would label him a Moor. If all he talked about was his fellow Fulani then you would call him Fulani.
