I finished the first season in a day :whew:

Stopped halfway thru season 2. :stopitslime:

Trash. Season 2 is trash. Whyte trash.
Season 2 is lowkey fire when you rewatch the series.
I was disappointed when I watched it the first time too. Never thought it was trash though.

I know a lot of Wire-heads opined Season 4 as the season that took the Wire to its zenith. Season 4 is phenomenal, but Season 3 is my fav upon multiple rewatches. Just the conflict and ongoing storylines kept me hooked like :feedme:

It isn't what grabbed me in season 1. I don't care about Pablo Schreiber. Not enough Avon and Stringer Bell so far and McNulty is on a damn boat smh

You should finish it, and then think about how it progresses and ends. S2 is one of the best commentaries on America that I've ever seen (on tv). Also one of the first shows that tackled the slow death of the working class. The union stuff, the decline in dock work jobs in Baltimore, the political betrayals...it all matters.

And the gang/crime stuff is really good in that season by the end, trust me.
