Nah, I have no idea why it gets the rap that it does. I enjoyed the newspaper companies perspective. Likewise I enjoyed the conclusion to all the characters. Each to their own I guess

Because of that TERRIBLE serial killer plot line.
But I agree the season as whole wasn't that bad, nikkas just being dramatic. I don't understand how anyone could recommend not watching the end of this series, if only to see how they finish the stories of some of the characters they built up over 2-4 seasons.

The fake serial killer angle is the big part that I see the most people have a problem with.
I enjoyed season 5, and I liked the ending of the series. I thought they did a nice job of tying everything up. I'd put it 4 > 3=1 > 5 > 2.
I honestly had low expectations of season 4 because of Stringer getting clipped off, but I thought season 4 was the best when when it was all said and done. It's a perfect season of TV, and even the theme song that season was the best.

yall nikkaz crazy season 5 was good if anything I would say season 2 was the worst out of the 5 and that was still decent
Season 2 works a lot better once you see the whole show. At first season 2 was jarring as fukk. I was wondering where all the white guys on the dock came from. It seemed so left-field. Once it became clear that they started focusing on a different theme every season (school system, decline of print, drug war, unions, etc) it made more sense, but even then, season 2 really sticks out from the rest. A lot of people when they start watching it now ask me if they can just skip season 2 all together.
It's like Breaking Bad season 2. I always tell people if they can make it through that, they're good. For both shows, the 2nd seasons were the slowest IMO.
