the creepy dude who stole the blood to drink and write on walls :whoo:
i'm stuck in insomnia for the rest of the night i believe.

The last 2 eps of season 1 are bananas.

See, Luther's appeal to me wasn't so much the 4 hour movie approach that season 2 basically was (fantastic as it was), but the creative episodic element that was season 1 where there seemed to be a new psyhco batman villain each episode.. while still building up Luther's personal drama/character interactions a fair amount for the big finish.

Yeah, Season 1 was beautiful because of that.

It was so many overlapping storylines and new shyt that Luther faced every episode. Not too many shows can come up with stuff like that, but then again, they did it all in 6 episodes. They had enough content to make 12 with all the stuff that goes down in 1 episode.

I'm semi-positive there's a thread in this forum where dudes are talking about piff british shows (Luther included) and the threadstarter was hating.

"Luther" was never mentioned.

A bunch of random wack shows were, and I stand by what I said. :umad:

They aren't very well known outside of their respective regions and they're inferior to what I currently watch.

But wait, let me hurry up and marathon watch them all. :stopitslime:

:dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: Did you marathon through Luther? :pachaha:

In that thread you were told that you needed to step your TV game up.

Welcome to the team, sport.

Now go catch up on the other shows dudes been talking about for years.

I was told to step my TV game up and a bunch of wack shows were mentioned. Nobody said shyt about "Luther", which ironically is better than the shows people were crying about.

Feel free to quote me shytting on random foreign shows that aren't "Luther". Not sure what that will accomplish but hey, do you. :yeshrug:

Watched the pilot, Idris Elba is a very impressive actor, but the show felt a little cliched, and well worn cop ones, at that. The wife who is still in love, but who can't keep competing with the demons in the husbands head and the ones he chases, the understanding, but frustrated supervisor, the partner/side kick, the obligatory property destruction, the desk/wall scenes...the criminal mastermind. I liked it, in some regards, but overall, too cliche, without bringing much else interesting, but Elba is a great actor. I'll check out a few more episodes.
