I think he said something he would only kill characters for shock value. Like if a character people are invested in, like Nanami, Nobara, and Yuki, he would do it. Then characters like Mei Mei as one example, he would just make them irrelevant.

Tbh I think Gege started to dislike JJK during the Culling Games and when Megumi got body snatched by Megumi is when it was clear he was done with this shyt. After Gojo died, and it was everyone vs Sukuna he just purposely dragged it out until Jump allowed him to end it.

I do think Gege is a better author then his reputation is now. The JJK fanbase is fukking awful if we being real. They were spoiling the JP Manga audience for chapter releases for the final arc. Even spoiling anime onlies during S2 and mentioning when Gojo got sealed that he dies later in the series. fukk them

I don't know if he can actually improve but his flaws have always been glaring. He's just a very ambitious author that can't execute all the shyt he envisions. His biggest strength was taking classic troupes and giving them a nice twist or nuance + presenting cool premises. But when it came to plot he was mostly winging it and as he got more burned out or bored, the flaws overcame everything.

I wonder if he'll have the liberty to write something he actually feels compelled to write and if that will help with all the things he's not good at (besides paneling because he ain't ever getting better at that ).

Gege and Horikoshi should collab for their next work.

That would solve both of their problems as creators.

Gege cant draw consistently draw well and Horikoshi cant write to save his life.

Can only speak about Naruto because that was the only one I read and as bad as JJK's finish is, it is not worse than Naruto

Gege failed with Culling Games, gave us what I think was a dope fukking fight in Gojo vs Sukuna and then just stopped exponentially giving a fukk until the end. That whole thing is 110 chapters of the manga.

Naruto Shippuden is almost 500 chapters long with 150 of them being worth a damn if you are feeling generous. From the 4th Hokage War till the ending is basically 300 chapters of at best, the same thing Gege gave us for 100 chapters

I'd say this is a waay better ending than AOT or demon slayer.

I only watched the anime for SnK, but man First 3 seasons/before timeskip it was legit great 9+/10. After timeskip got it was fukking mess. I guess the feeling of disappointment can really do a number.

JJK is closer to just well executed Shounen in the begining and then essentially falls into really generic in the 2nd half. I enjoyed this manga a lot more post Gojo Sukuna fight by not taking seriously compared to when I read Frieren or Dark Gathering as examples.

As much as I may complain about the pacing & direction issues of CSM Pt 2 or the final third of Jigo, I still genuinely enjoyed reading them even with their flaws. Idk what the popcorn flick of anime would be called, but I would describe JJK as that in its 2nd half.

AOT, imo, is the perfect anime on a technical level.
