7/10So what’s everyone final thoughts on JJK as a whole? I’m pretty disappointed considering I was hyping this story up to everyone. I figured it would end this year but around mid-late December. Dude had a potential classic and fumbled it with this rushed ending. We didn’t even get the name of Yuji’s domain and no closure to Gojo’s death from the trio.
I was planning to reread this once it ended but I’m not going to bother since so many plotlines never get resolved. I still think Gojo vs Sukuna will be peak once it gets animated but as a whole I don’t even think I can give this more than a 7/10.
Everything up to the end of Shibuya was 10/10. Gege was on the way to an all timer series
After that, The rest of the manga is about a 4/10. Gojo vs Sukuna is the only 10/10 part from there.

Agreed. I’m giving the whole thing a 6/10. In retrospect, the heights of the shibuya arc have been dampened cause it was leading to nothing. I really thought Shibuya would’ve been an inciting incident that would lead to Yuji and the rest of the cast really developing without the crutch of Gojo. Now, it just looks like an author trying his best to get rid of a character he didn’t like. Then even Gojo/ Sukana sucked to me because narratively, it was just Gege finishing the job. Gojo didn’t have any real interactions with any of the main cast after the start of the shibuya arc. Basically, the story took a back seat to Gege giving fans the middle finger

It's crazy to me how the peak of popularity for this series when it was when the quality was at its lowest.
I ain't gonna think about all the hanging threads Gege left. I am curious how the anime plays out tho. Tho I doubt Gege will be involved with the anime like Kubo is for TYBW.

There's some value in watching Sukuna mop up everyoneYeah, I think right now I'd put Demon Slayer's ending above JJK just of the strength of everything leading up to the Muzan fight. But I have no clue if I'd think the same in 2 years once the JJK ending wears off and we start getting new anime content.
DS's finish was rushed as fukk but it at least decided to go out with a bang and have a shyt ton of cool fights till the end. Muzan itself and Nezuko's asspull were the worst parts of ending though, I came out of that on some "well ok then
fukkery levels.
that's it thoI think Gege is gonna see the anime only fanbase not be as upset with the Culling Games and be pissed at himself for crashing out like this at the end just because one arc was sloppy
Demon Slayer ending was kinda mid but it wasn't bad. I didn't feel compelled to shyt on it but I didn't go back to it either
AOT ending wasn't the best but it sits with me better than all of the other big series that have finished over the last few years

Series ended for me after the Shibuya incident. The culling games were weak & everything after that just a blur.

Tbh Gege prob used that as leverage to end the series when he did. Jump knew the popularity of the series was never going to be higher, especially if he took a 1-2 year break.
