My first reaction the first time I heard this muhfukka whining like a bytch over what I considered to be the beat to Nas' The Message was one of utter disgust... So I can only imagine what Sting who made the original thought lol

But yeah, don't the producer and the songwriter get equal points on songs? To me Sting's cut should come from the producer's haul
LMFAO! Yo my first time hearing the shyt was like 3 hours ago. I was wtf is this garbage.....then I stumbled upon this thread

Sometimes you have to just take the loss on one song just to get your name out and hope you can follow it up with more material that your newfound audience will like too :manny:

I honestly thought this was a Post Malone song for the longest time though when I heard it :dwillhuh:

he didn't lose anything. if it wasn't for that sample he would have no career. the reason the song is dope is because of the melody. period.

he owes his whole career to sting. 85% for a number 1 hit that made you the hottest in the game sounds like a deal to me

The hottest in the game? Son will be a nobody again in 12 months.

Of course Juice wouldn't be able to clear it, you'd think that Interscope would hit the :whoa:about selling it before it got cleared.
Exactly.

I been heard this song and I knew it would blow up if it was on a major. When I saw that he signed with Interscope I was like yup, that Lucid Dreams is about to go. Crazy when you think about it. Like how?

:mjlol:
