Aww...the strawman....super ineffective but, I get it .:mjlol:

Posted exactly what I wanted in terms of dr.king talking, the historical context he provided in that video is exactly what #ADOS is going for

I'll post it again for you:jawalrus:
Listen close...

I never said it wasnt.......that's not what up for debate:mjlol:

I posted a clip of dr.king talking about going to the White House to get our reparations. I never said it full speech hence "Clip", I said "it was in preparation for the poor people's march"...

Learn to listen or read or both:mjlol:

The context provided in that clip highlights what the #ADOS movement stands for..

I didn't or dont need the full speech to endorse our cause.

How did we miss this?
June was officially National Caribbean-American Heritage Month in America by Congressional Decree!
June is Caribbean-American Heritage Month! | NRCS Caribbean Area

I'm happy it's right on top of the Juneteenth Celebration for ADOS :stylin:.

Oh more information from back in 2010?!

Caribbean-Americans Seek Their Own Ethnicity Box On Census Form

Looks like this started the division to me though

:umad:

This took two minutes to expose the hypocrisy.

what a difficult thread to read through. :picard:
The problem is ADOS haters acting like a bunch of intellectually dishonest mental midgets...

They run up in these threads like clowns popping out of a car at the circus spewing nonsense and purposely misleading folk on the purpose of the movement...

All these ADOS brehs saying is that the reparations conversation in the USA is specific to black descendants of 13 colonies slavery...They fully support Caribbean and SA decedents of slavery claim for reparations via France, Spain & England...

C.I.T.I
grew up having no choice but to call the black experience here my own because thats how I was raised.
It’s not yours though.

It’s the descendants’ of American chattel slavery. Educate yourself on it all you want, but it is not yours.

I have no intention of bickering with you, I’m just pointing something out.

A lot of these people think the ADOS culture/experience is just something they can take for themselves because we’re just some lost group of people. So they come here imitate, think they own our experience and that they can tell us what’s what.
But they take that and benefit their specific “divided” black ethnic group.

You see this man literally said his father came here to learn off of us to go back and help build HIS people. But us calling our selves a specific group and going for specific tangibles is somehow wrong.

movements in this country have basic constructs. They often start locally where they build out the movement, giving it structure, based on trial and error and figuring out what works as it pulls in the masses. That IS the MO of black movements in this country.

What about this movement is organic? This shyt isnt nothing more than black media elites who run in the same circles and decided to build out a website to get you low information niqqas excited by it being brought to you online.

The mere fact that your dumb ass had the nerve to think grocery bag packing, dishwasher in the back “illegals” in major cities are taking from blacks shows just how fukking daft you are.

Stop acting as if you ever had skin in the game in any black movement

There are a few ADOS who seem to think they were the only ones to endure slavery. As if Caribbean black were just chilling on the beach 24/7 drinking coconut water with the colonizers. Historical facts show the contrary. But then again some people like to question certain historical facts when it contradicts what THEY have chosen to convince themselves of and believe.

Doesnt make it any less slavery. Our "reparation checks" may be coming from France or England or Portugal instead of the United States but still deserve reparations if that's what the argument is about

They don't seem to believe that, brother.

They seem to be the only people who talk about CARICOM (Reparations movement for Caribbean DOS)

It’s not yours though.

Where did I claim it was? :dahell:

I tell you one thing....its my daughters. Its my sons. And if I drop dead tomorrow, beyond any life lessons I fed my kids, knowing THEIR history, if anything, will be the one to carry them along in life. So if you think its not my responsibility to ensure that they know of the blood spilled in this country for them to be here mow, I dont know what to tell you. Its my job to let them know of their history here and the stock they come from.

#ADOS (the hashtag movement) talks out of both sides of wayyy too much and wonder why people are confused on where the movement stands.

One minute its about reparations from the US government and we don't have time to celebrate Jay Z being a billionaire... So stop EVERYTHING cuz JOY REID said something on MSNBC, and fukk these black immigrants :martin: They need to hold their own nuts-- but we don't have a problem with them :whoa: we support them getting what's owed, they just don't have a say on what's owed to us... And I can't understand why anyone would say the movement is against them. Now why the hell did they cast an African to play Dolemite :martin: HE'S COMING FOR OUR REPARATIONS.
