i agree the "black" community is very diverse. it encompasses a lot of people who look black but have varying backgrounds. i went to highschool with a lot of people that looked just like me, but when you dig deeper some were x-immigrant. almost all of us share the same values when it comes to concerns and expectations affecting our local communities.

the reparations movement, at least online, looks to separate the community into us and yall. i agree descendants of slaves have a right to reparations. i also believe it will take a coalition of people who don't necessarily qualify as american descendants to help make it happen. to be honest i'm just disappointed to watch the black diaspora drawing lines. seems really petty to me.

I personally think voting without a specific purpose or agenda is dumb. It’s not up to me to spell out what your agenda should be, because I don’t know what you value.

If some Black people chose to be single issue voters, and their single issue is reparations, then good for them.

If a woman’s single issue is reproductive rights. Good for them.

If someone’s single issue is gun rights or gay marriage. Good for them.

Why are you so nosey? Voting is a personal decision.

Your issue isnt with any alleged "xenophobic, racist" propaganda but the fact that the movement has redefined what it means to be black versus being black with a lineage directly attached to slavery in the USA.



A black agenda is too vague and inclusive. We need an ADOS agenda.

I hear you but let’s be real, lines we’re already drawn. Look at all the people that have flags of Caribbean and African nations in their social media profiles. Or have culturally specific businesses such as clubs, restaurants or even places of worship. And cake up in American hoods and send their money back to their motherland.

And that’s cool. Represent your heritage and lineage. Make providing for your bloodline a priority.

It only started becoming an issue when nikkas started talking about getting checks cut and holding political candidates accountable.

Then all the hidden resentment started bubbling to the surface. Dudes with post traumatic stress about being called “African Booty Scratcher” back in the summer of ‘92, came out trying to play loan officer for America’s purse strings.
