Where is you nikkaz' basketball knowledge at?
Jordan would put up even BETTER numbers in this era than he did in his era.
you niccas are flat out ignorant thinking that "help" in this era is going to slow down MJ. this excerpt was taken from the NY TIMES back in 1987 about Jordan. yall niccas need to step yall knowledge and history of the game up.Yes and no, there's much more emphasis on team and help defense nowadays than back then where it was more a 1-on-1 defense. I refuse to believe opposing guards would be left on an island guarding him nowadays in the post and midrange areas. You think well coached teams like the Spurs for example, Pop would just let DeRozan guard him 1-on-1 and not send help in certain spots
That's why the Pistons were successful against him because of their "scheme" on playing help defense
Just my opinion though![]()

"Last season, Jordan had to overcome the harassment of zone traps and double and triple-teaming to win the scoring title by averaging 37.1 points a game. This time, he faces new challenges not only from opposing coaches and their defenses but also from the plans of his own coach."
and that's his career high ppg. he scored over 3k points that season and was the second player in the history of the game to do so (wilt chamberlain was the other one).
Challenges for Jordan: New League Rule and New Role
The men Jordan made his legacy on...
1991 1st round: Trent Tucker, Gerald Wilkins
1991 Semifinals: Hersey Hawkins
1991 ECF: Joe Dumars
1991 Finals: Byron Scott
1992 1st round: Brian Shaw
1992 Semifinals: Gerald Wilkins
1992 ECF: Craig Ehlo
1993 Finals: Clyde Drexler
1993 1st round: Stacy Augmon
1993 Semifinals: Craig Ehlo
1993 ECF: John Starks
1993 Finals: Dan Majerle
Today's guards wouldn't stand a chance.

1991 gerald wilkins averged 14 points per game
1991 hershey hawkins averaged 22 ppg 47% from the floor 40% from three with 2 steals a game
1991 joe dumars averged 20.4 ppg 5 assists - second team all nba defesive team
1991 bryon scott averagd 15ppg
would be no difference than today going through
a jeremy lamb, josh richardson, danny green, jimmy butler, malcolm brogdon, marcus smart, reggie bullock, victor oladipo
Who (that isn’t trolling) says this?zach lavine is avg 24 a game but michael jordan would struggle to score points in this era

nice try cum for brainsYou mean that same season they finished 40 and 42 and swept in the first round, that's your basis for his dominance in that season![]()
nice try cum for brains..you were SPECIFICALLY addressing defenses Jordan was facing, not the TEAM'S post season performance. who hasn't LOST in the playoffs, what in the fukk is your point??? Elgin Baylor is considered one of the best to ever lace em up, that nicca is 0-8 in the nba finals. jerry west is considered to be Jordan BEFORE Jordan and his ass is 1-7 in the finals. they didn't advance to the finals on a yearly basis either, the lost in other rounds of the playoffs as well. without google, your dumb ass cant even name 3 players on that Chicago team. oh and BTW, that Celtics team that Chicago faced had 5 HALL OF FAME PLAYERS. this is the same Celtics team that SWEPT the Magic Johnson led Los Angeles lakers in the finals dikkhead. like I said, step your knowledge of the game up playboy
