In that 90s era of TMNT, X-Men, Batman, and Spider-Man TAS getting all the publicity because of the IP popularity, plus all the other episodic cartoons that made that era so epic, Gargoyles may have been top of the class. Batman will always be the easy choice for #1 b/c of great quality + character popularity, but Gargoyles had great quality too and made you feel for these obscure ass characters.
It's crazy thinking back to how much fukkery was going on in the stories. Hell, the backstory of Demona when they explored what she was doing during and after her people got betrayed/massacred by the medieval savages

And it was the first time i ever heard Keith David. For a while whenever i heard him voice anything else after (Spawn, T'Challa, alien from Halo 3] I was like yo that's Goliath!
It wasn't until that Riddikk movie that i finally put a face to the voice.
