I used to think the parents did it too until I started watching all these documentaries the last few months, now I think somebody else did it.

1. Hispanic DNA was in her panties and in her pajamas
2. The family was gone most of the day before to a friend's party which would allow an intruder to have the run of the house because
3. There was a broken window in the basement that Lou Smit (the investigator) was able to climb in on TV
4. DNA cleared the family & all their friends
5. There doesn't seem to be mental illness in their family. I mean, that crime was a brutal, vicious crime. How does somebody do that to a little girl and just go on with their lives without other violent acts in their past.
6. There's no motive for the family to have done it.

I don't think the molester meant to kill her. Maybe the little girl was resisting too much and he accidentally fractured her skull while trying to subdue her.

The duct tape, bound hands and ransom note were a cover up by the parents. They were protecting the brother, brother-in-law or somebody else in their circle. Wonder if the any of the family and friends' dna was tested.

did a quick read up on the case, awfully strange that the parents reported her missing and didn't check the room they found her in. If i had a kid who went mia like that, i'd search every inch of the house before calling the cops.

2. The ransom note said that it was a kidnapping , so they probably thought she was gone

I will never understand why parents let their young daughters dress like grown women. These children beauty pageants are some real sick shyt.

I used to think that until I realized that all the parents I knew let their kids dress up as football players and bash each others brains in at like 7 years old.

The son was in constant proximity to his sister pretty much. When they did the autopsy and saw the undigested pineapple and then ran prints on the bowl of pineapple left on the table, it only had the son's prints. The parents talking about they didn't remember giving them pineapple and then also saying that the boy was asleep throughout the whole thing sealed it for me.

That boy probably snapped and choked his sister out and beat her, parents saw what happened and probably flipped but recognized that they didn't want to lose TWO of their children and set that shyt up to give him an out.

I'm pretty sure the police and DA knew this shyt and probably went along as to spare the boy and the family from national embarrassment.

Oh yeah I remember reading about this case. I believe the brother did it. Wasn't he feeling some type of way that his sister was getting all the attention while he was getting lack of it. Plus if I remember it looks like one of the parents was trying to cover it up

Why would the parents kill their own daughter?

Makes more sense for them to try to cover it up if it was indeed the brother
