Not really. The team would still be in the same spot.

Keeping the 1st rounders would have been nice, but James Jones doesn't take the draft seriously.

He would have either traded the picks or drafted a bust.
Yep. A good portion of us were pushing for a rebuild before KD, the roster was stuck.

This was a shyt take when Isaiah said it and it still is

KD still impacts this game in significant ways

While I understand the desire to shoot more 3s as an overall strategy I think the Suns were forcing it And I think there were some times where they would’ve been better off going with their mid-range game

KD just missed some open shoots; he’s got to make those to keep the pressure on the Nuggets

Outside of Book’s overall greatness and KD being good inside the arc, the Suns struggled mightily; KD can’t make the open shots for them and he can’t keep CP3 for hurting his groin
He doesn't.

He's an extremely talented bucket-getter, but aside from changing the momentum of a game through his scoring, he doesn't really impact the game. An offense where he's forced to ISO is going to have varying results because he struggles to put the ball on the floor and generate good looks, and the ball rarely ever leaves his hands which makes his team's offense predictable, relying on tough shot making instead of easy scoring opportunities.

There's this perception on this board that making tough shots in the midrange somehow carries this power of great offense, when really it can often be more to the contrary.

I don't want to hear that shyt. That shyt was 4 years ago, and everyone was calling him a top 2 SF of all-time post-injury when he got an immense amount of credit for Budenholzer playing him the worst way possible in 2021.

Cam Johnson started this year. What was this suns bench this year before Kd? Talk about teams you watch.
Only for trade value he came off the bench more than he started while on the Suns. The Suns had to include him in the KD trade.
Casual spotted. Cam Johnson started and Saric is a bum coming off a major injury
Started to keep trash Jae Crowder off the court...he's been in the league for 4 years+ and was a bench player 90 percent of his career. Saric is better than any bench player they have right now.

And Durant & Booker gotta start driving more, nobody on Denver a shot blocker.
KD putting the ball on the floor isn't going to have positive long-term results. We saw his shyt get picked all throughout the first game when he tried driving. We saw the same in the Celtics series last season. His dribble is too high and he doesn't have the core strength.

Cats like KCP, Brown and Gordon will steal his lunch all day.

Saric is better than Biyombo and Landale. Not sure why Ross, Warren, and Bazley are glued to the bench. They traded Saric for Bazley
