Depp is the full package but i feel he has plenty more to offer to exhibit his skills.
Depp was a potential oscar winner in my view for Ed-Wood.

I think people call's Depp choices weird because its not Hollywood or mainstream, however, those weird choices take a lot of talent to pull off and make people notice....

For example, Captain Jack, Ed Hand, Willy Wonka, Ichabod Crane, George Jung,....
He nailed all of those characters and it takes innovation to pull those off....

That's why I gotta give it to Depp on this..

Leo is kind of cold in his own way but I think his best gift is picking scripts that he can nail with his skillset....

But you're acting like he isn't completely different between Gilbert Grape, Blood Diamond, and something like Catch Me If You Can. Just his accent in Blood Diamond was amazing, even better than Depp's scottish in Finding Neverland.

Depp always seems like he's on ambien, speaking in that measured, exaggeratedly calm and unconcerned way. I've never even seen Depp play someone convincingly angry, distraught, ecstatic, etc.

Depp fell ALLLL the way off. It's like dude has become a caricature of himself. A living parody. He plays damn near the same role now. Di'caprio as an actor has NEVER done the same role twice.. I respect both but ima say that based off the last decade Leo got this
