Depp needs a new director who’s willing to take a chance on working with him and to offer him a new challenging role that would help him to remind people of the great actor he is

Then again, maybe being jack sparrow would be a good look if the script is revamped and good

Both Disney and Depp need this.

A kick ass return to form as an iconic beloved character would complete Depp’s redemption arc.

A blockbuster franchise resurrection is what Disney has been DESPERATELY attempting and apparently failing at with the underperformance of Indiana Jones & The Dial Destiny and they’re seeming inability to make a decent Star Wars trilogy.

Hopefully they pay attention to getting a great and fun script together instead of throwing $400 Million at extravagant set pieces and CGI that only covers up an underwhelming story.

They gotta switch things up eventually right. The 300mil+ bloated budgets and CGI that looks like sludge...this can't be sustainable. Looking at how great Dune looks, or Mad Max from a few years ago...there should be more focus on hiring good directors who can keep projects on task. With grounded CGI that enhances practical sets. Dune had a 160mil budget and looks superior to just about everything Disney has done for twice as much over the last ten years.

Ain't no way Indiana Jones should have had a 300mil budget lo. But a new Pirates film would be a perfect opportunity to bring back real sets, practical effects and CGI that enhances shyt instead of replacing shyt.
