He’s the fastest player in history....Ion even know what he’s gonna look like losing a step. Gonna interesting...:ehh:

Hes been healthy. They are being extra extra precautious.

This is five months ago

He just needs to get round that last corner, get used to the speed and physicality. But with the way they are not rushing him and how they are treating everything, they have been going really well with it.

This is the footage we see. He's confident. He knows better than we do where he's at. He mentioned even sending Barnes and Jack some footage that's not public from practice. Playing with G league guys etc. By the time next year rolls around he'll be back to where he was, plus motivated and more focused as a professional. Not partying all the time.

He should still be effective cause he is an elite passer. The athleticism is bound to be diminished with him being almost 30 and the injury but i think he can still be a 17 and 8 type player.

I might be biased as I was damn near a season ticket holder with my wife for Wizards games before we moved, but John Wall is as talented as any PG I've seen play the game. It's about him putting it all together. I would love to see the Wizards add a key vet this off-season along with resigning Bertans.

You was at that game when Steph gave Wall 50? :mjlol:

What people don't realize is John's been hurt the last few years. Like really hurt. He had bone spurs that the dude couldn't bend his knee couldn't put pressure on his heel. He was playing through pain and yet the dude was getting 20 and 10 while being very far from healthy..

He explains how the Achilles tear came about as a result of the bone spur. It wasn't even a full on tear. It was a partial and on his off leg.

Someone can say im being over optimistic but he's been ready for a while now. He's been dunking, he's still just as fast. There's no question he's back athletically to where he is once the rust goes. They've really babied his return so that no mishaps happen and so he finally becomes a 100 percent healthy..
People here talmbout his shooting but not addressing he's been elite at everything else while injured. The injury though we did see a noticeable decline in his defensive effort.

Beyond that here are other things to consider. I personally didnt like he was in the club all the time. He just got a son and has another on the way and seems to be settled down as a family man. He's now Brad Beal status. Family and his mom is important to him and once she passed shyt ws more crystal to him. He's also extra motivated to prove people wrong. There's a recency bias with the wall and Beal. The disrespect should end. They are talented. They are all Stars caught up in bad GMing

Its so easy to kick a man while hes down.

Sooo easy.

Players who operate at that high of a level physically, KNOW their bodies down to every last fiber from a performance standpoint. If he says hes back and better than ever we should believe him.

Wall was dynamite before the injury, one of the most entertaining PG to watch in the NBA... Hes not officially hot in the streets right now so its cool to shyt on him i guess. But him returning to form with something to prove is definitely something to look out for

In what world is 19 and 9 Career Averages “okay” :gucci:
The world where it has failed to elevate the Wizards into anything other than a bottom tier eastern conference team. For those 19 points per game, he averages a True Shooting % of just .519. That's awful for a player with his natural abilities.

This is wrong. Look at the Wizards before John Wall and after. He has absolutely elevated them when he’s on the court. With awful rosters around him and Beal and mediocre coaching at best. He’s literally the most successful Wizards player of the last 40 years lol

He was averaging 20 and 10 when he shouldn't have even been on the court for over two seasons. I seen a breh up there saying wall relied on athleticism not realizing his assist numbers are top tier in NBA. That's skill. Not athleticism.

And I've posted videos from five months ago where you could see he was ready then and almost as mobile in all directions as he should be.

The wizards are doing the right thing. They aren't rushing him back and getting a Demarcus type situation..they are getting his body used to the impact by having him play the G league guys where he's shytting all over them..They want no set backs so he can finally be fully healthy. I saw him beat Atlanta while playing with a broken hand. Dude is a warrior. Let him be healthy and ready and we will see. If he's even talking about sending private videos to Barnes and Jack's I'm sure the recent footage is even more impressive..
Hes finally dropped his weight to play at a lighter weight the way Jordan and Kobe did in later years. So I'm looking forward to seeing him play. People forgot how much of a beast he is.

Edit. If you watch the dunks you will see something unusual. Wall is a righty but he's a better jumper off his right foot and dunking with his left hand. He's always dunking like that. The Achilles tear due to weakness after bone spurs was a minor one. And it was on his left foot. The foot he doesn't jump off as much.
