I might be biased as I was damn near a season ticket holder with my wife for Wizards games before we moved, but John Wall is as talented as any PG I've seen play the game. It's about him putting it all together. I would love to see the Wizards add a key vet this off-season along with resigning Bertans.

He's lost about 15 pounds, he's aiming to play at 200-205 for the rest of his career.

I think he'll come back strong. Seeing him still dunk all over the place in warm ups had me :whoo: and he still looks fast but we gotta see him get in game shape to judge..

I don't even think offensively is where I'm worried.

I'm worried about his defense. Can he be a solid defender for the rest of his career? I'm not expecting him to return to All-NBA levels he was at in 2013-2015 period. But his defense fell off a cliff in 2017-18 and obviously in 2018-19 when he was playing on one leg.
He was like 230-235 his last full year.

What people don't realize is John's been hurt the last few years. Like really hurt. He had bone spurs that the dude couldn't bend his knee couldn't put pressure on his heel. He was playing through pain and yet the dude was getting 20 and 10 while being very far from healthy..

He explains how the Achilles tear came about as a result of the bone spur. It wasn't even a full on tear. It was a partial and on his off leg.

Someone can say im being over optimistic but he's been ready for a while now. He's been dunking, he's still just as fast. There's no question he's back athletically to where he is once the rust goes. They've really babied his return so that no mishaps happen and so he finally becomes a 100 percent healthy..
People here talmbout his shooting but not addressing he's been elite at everything else while injured. The injury though we did see a noticeable decline in his defensive effort.

Beyond that here are other things to consider. I personally didnt like he was in the club all the time. He just got a son and has another on the way and seems to be settled down as a family man. He's now Brad Beal status. Family and his mom is important to him and once she passed shyt ws more crystal to him. He's also extra motivated to prove people wrong. There's a recency bias with the wall and Beal. The disrespect should end. They are talented. They are all Stars caught up in bad GMing

He got the look to be a star well into his 30s.

Facially, he's top 10-15 in the league.

Right before the 2018 playoffs after a 2-month injury, you can see Wall is clearly close to this...

Rather than where he was at the Beginning of 2018-19 season after a summer of putting on weight..
