He must have got paid. I never thought he would go back to wwe. But AEW doesn’t need to sign but so many former wwe talents

Where are they going to get recognize guys from though? Most of the excitement was coming from the idea of a WWE exodus and that Khan guy being able to poach disgruntled WWE guys. Who can they get who isn't exclusive to Impact, ROH, and NJPW who also doesn't have the former WWE guy stink?

They HAVE to grow their own stars to be any real competition or be the new destination for NJPW and ROH guys looking to be on a major network

My feeling is that fans are not patient enough in this era to let that happen and just as AEW is an alternative to WWE, NXT can function the same if AEW ain't hitting. Especially with the way fans and AEW Elite have boosted expectations and exaggerated WWE's woes to the point where the pressure is on THEM and they put it there. Another component to them making stars is feuds and characters but their fans are content with match heavy shows with wins and losses moving the wrestlers forward I don't think that draws in potential fans and I don't believe in the phrase "To be the man, you have to beat the man" if Kenny Omega takes a loss on AEW to a wrestler who fans don't know, don't care about that's not going to turn that wrestler into a star if anything would hurt Omega and it will build contempt among fans and there's a lot of talented wrestlers who've been maligned because they were hotshotted before they got over.

I mean, it has to be that way, if AEW is smart they will get the belt on omega or Moxley ASAP, and jericho is a good person to put one of them over. If fans arent patient enough to wait for them to create a star then there will never be an alternative to wwe. And I dont think having match heavy shows will be enough for them or NXT to succeed in the mainstream. Great matches only matter when there is a good story surrounding it.

Like I said this "war" will show you which style people really want to see, wwe safe style or the flippy sometimes hardcore shyt
