Probably because I think Gemma Chan is the love interest in this one.

And yeah JDW isn't like his dad. He just doesn't have the screen presence. And yeah it's good that a Black man is getting high profile jobs but someone like Aldis Hodge or Y'lan Noel probably could've done more with the roles that he's been given.

I agree. Guys like JDW and MBJ are far from the best actors compared to other brehs like the ones you mentioned but still gotta appreciate their contributions of representing brehs on the big stage.

i.e. Just going by what i saw in the First Purge, Y'lan probably would've been much better suited for that Rainbow Six movie than MBJ... but there's probably no Rainbow Six movie starring a breh without MBJ wanting the role.
