Mine too, lol...I think the highbrow crowd and the funny people are who he genuinely likes talking to the most so that's why they end up being the best interviews

There's nothing highbrow about Rogan or his audience. It's faux renaissance man bullshyt that feigns interest/insight/knowledge of multiple topics yet displays understanding of very few. Mixed with conspiracy theories, aliens, and weird alt right politics on social issues. There's also this dishonest and rather alarming ideology where every opinion or idea is equal and worthy of discussion, and we can be civil and act like men while discussing anything. In reality all this does is legitimize dangerous kooks (Alex Smith) and modern day Nazi shyt. But that's a topic for another day.

In terms of Gibbs, I'm a fan but...we gotta have a discussion about performative blackness, and in his case performative ghetto shyt. No one who actually shot someone would jokingly bring it up on a major medium that is going to be watched by multiple people. The only type of person who would say that is someone who is bullshytting. And the only reason Gibbs bullshyts is so that he can impress and entertain white people. Straight up. You really sense that he loves that these nerds think he's really a super gangsta nikka and not a guy whose dad is a cop. Who started rapping about shyt more in the KRIT/Kendrick/Cole/etc lane, and only became a super gangsta nikka rapper when that other shyt failed. I haven't listened to the entire interview but that crackhead story really turned me off from giving this a click.

No one can pull your card when you stay in Malibu hanging around nerds like Egon...

I didn’t listen to the Gibbs episode and I didn’t plan to. But you make a good point I never considered. I knew Gibbs material has become less content rich but I never really considered just how far it’s possibly strayed. I’ve been a Gibbs fan since 2011 but I think you might have a point there.
