What are you talking bout?

That conversation is DEAD. Joe is unblemished in the bowl. 4-0 is better then 3-2.

You nikkas have absolutely no common sense.

Jesus Christ.

Put that supporting cast around Brady and how many rings he would have. Yeah he got one more ring but it honestly think the league is more competitive today and defenses are more complicated.

I hate when people say Joe Montana had a lot of help, like he's supposed to be punished for having a great front office during the 80's.

Besides he won his first 2 titles without Jerry Rice/John Taylor, won his first Super Bowl without Roger Craig.

Those first 2 Super Bowl teams he was on were young teams that just developed into championship caliber teams. Montana and Dwight Clark were only in their 3rd seasons that first Super Bowl year, Ronnie Lott and Eric Wright were both rookies. Those teams had nowhere near the talent the future SF title teams would have

Joe Montana won his first SB with a white RB named Bill Ring, another avg RB named Ricky Patton and a no name FB named Earl Cooper..

His Wideouts were Dwight Clark and Freddie Solomon..

:damn:

He got his Tom Brady no name on with that 1st SB title.

:takedat:

nikka fukk all that hypothetical bullshyt..

If I had two t*ts I would be a broad.

That shyt is weak.

Joe is unblemished 4-0 with the lights on.

I don't wanna hear shyt.

I saw Joe go 1-3 against those Giants teams back then.

The AFC being so shytty back then, everyone knew the real Super Bowls took place in the NFC divisional and conference championships where Joes record is full of pockmarks.

The Giants won 2 SBs during that era.

:what:

Barring the Minnesota debacle in '87, it took a herculean effort to take out Joe..

From Atlanta to San Fran to LA 4now
Yeah I laugh when people try to say Brady or Peyton are better than Joe Montana. Joe won 4 chips in a much tougher league. Yeah he has some playoff losses but outside of the 87 Vikings game (and that loss was really because no one could guard Anthony Carter) San Fran lost to better teams like the 83 Redskins and those L's in the playoffs to the Giants

After Brady's performance yesterday :manny: Joe the gawd is just on another level then these guys it's hard to discredit 4-0 no matter what you say about the different leagues when it was time to bring the championship home he delivered I think if Brady would have went 19-0 when they were extremely favored it would be a discussion IMHO :obama:

Different time periods. Joe played in a time where it was much easier to keep your talent together for their whole careers. Only person left from that 01 squad is Brady

And? At what point during the NFCs streak was it not apparent to you, like most people, that the NFC championship and divisional playoff games meant more to people back then?

There was a time during that run where the loser of the NFC championship the year prior would go on the next year and win it all.

Really...the real games during joes time were in the NFC...and there was far from certainty for the Niners and Joe. I know. I was a Niner fan before Rice was even on that squad. I was fascinated by Bill Walsh.

This is truth

Brady might not even be alive if he played in the 80's. nikkas went at the QB's head with no remorse.

Yes, Brady did win Super Bowls with no names on offense but SO DID JOE, you fukks. He won his first two before Rice was even drafted..

Did yall just start following football? Come on. I expect better.

Pats defense is 2003 was ranked 1 in points allowed and 7 in yards allowed. In 2004, they were 2 in points and 9 in yards allowed. In '07 the year when they had Moss and went HAM on the league the defense was STILL 4th in points allowed and 4th in yards. When the defense started to fall apart the Pats were no longer the Pats. They still kill most teams in the regular season but in the playoffs they've been running into defenses that can handle them and their own defense isn't shutting teams down.

The first two Super Bowls? That 84 squad was second in scoring in the NFL behind the 5000 passing yards from Marino Miami Dolphins by30 points
:heh:

Wendell Tyler was that dude at RB and Roger Craig would be the first back to rush and run for 1000 the next season.

Who the fukk were you watching in 84 thinking that Niners team wasn't explosive before Rice? That was my squad.
You guys keep thinking Bill Walsh wasn't in his prime in 84.

Craig didn't really emerge as a star until '85. In '84 he had around 1200 yards total from scrimmage. He was behind Tyler in yards while playing fb, who had a nice year.

Soloman and Clark aren't Rice and Taylor. That is the point as obvious as it is.

Even if I said Brady had "no names"... I don't look at Deion Branch or Givens, Brown or Patten as no names but they are compared to Moss so that's where the comparison comes from.

You're not gonna win a SB let alone multiple without a good team, so let's just dead that conversation already.
