oh of course :jawalrus:

u want me to post reg season stats too or does only the post season count to the Montana brigade :dwillhuh:

GOAT QB encompasses everything. If u wanna say Montana is the GOAT playoff QB, I won't even argue with you about that. But Brady has as much claim to the GOAT title if you considering postseason and regular season achievements

The NFL changed the rules to make it easier for QB's today. So posting regular season numbers please keep in mind the difference in the rules today as it was 20 years ago.

Please be fair and consider that

Dan Marino didn't have the team and balance Montana had. Marino would throw 60 td's today.

Now name me other QB's from that era throwing 44 and 48 TD's. Dan was a statistical outlier, certainly not the norm

1989 season Montana starts 13 games and has a QB rating of 112.4. Young started the other 3 games. The team was 14-2. Montana attempted 386 passes.

Brady's best year was 2007. You know how many passes he attempted that year? 578. He's thrown over 600 passes in a season 3 times and over 500 passes five other times.

It's a different game and the 49ers were always more of a balanced attack. The Pats have been a throw first team for at least the last six years.

Exactly, we had balance, solid backs, Craig and Rathman, and a scheme predicated on short passes to the flats and the backs. We wasn't running a hyper no no huddle all game long.

Brady will have an edge stat's wise, hell manning, brees, gawdgers, etc.. will have better regular season stats that Montana as well no question. But it's more to that

agreed. however there were a couple of QB's in that era that put up 30TD seasons, in line with what Montana was putting up. some are guys we've never even heard of
