Damn these dudes hated each other.

Ali went overboard with alot of the bullshyt he said and it was one of the few times in his Career when Racist whites LOVED him lowkey for all the disparaging shyt he said about Joe while looking forward to seeing the "Sambo match" where they didn't care who beat the hell out of whom for their enjoyment.

Shoulda pulled his ego back, see the play and taunted him in a different way. I wish someone would have checked him on that shyt back then, though.

I love Ali but he was wrong for a lot of the things he said in the lead up to the fight. Especially the “gorilla” stuff.

Yall gotta be some cacs. :mjlol::childplease:

75% of Ali's appeal was the fact that he hyped fights better than a prime McMahon.:noah:

He did and said whatever he had to, and he put butts in seats. :ahh:

Ali was before his time when it came to building buzz and promotion. And yes he made it personal.

He had to call that big ole bear out several times to get him in the ring :ufdup:

And the best thing was... anything bruh said, he backed it up. :banderas:

Ali wouldn't have become who he was if he didn't do it :ufdup:

He regretted it cause he was just playing around but them emotional boxers of his time took it real personal and held it against him for decades

Not realizing that the hype Ali created benefitted them as well

Calling another black man a gorilla was disrespectful as fukk. There’s hyping a fight and then there’s making something personal. It hurt Joe immensely that Ali took it there. A lot of people even back then took offense to what Ali said. It wasn’t necessary.

You aint gon like this but to me its like calling another black man a nicca.

That SHOULD be offensive. Really. We are literally calling ourselves by the term that white folks coined for us in slavery.

But we do it everyday.

With Ali calling Joe names, that was in house and it didn't give white folks the right or permission to call us derogatory names

Ali always called his opponent some kind of animal

Sonny Liston was the big ugly bear for example

Fraiser was mad because he called him an uncle tom, and people still running with that shyt black people turned against fraiser and was calling a c00n like nikkaz is quick today too, so that's why he was heated

Man look. I remember about 4 or 5 years ago before Edge came back...

He made a special appearance. Wrestlers IMMEDIATELY started going in on him. I dont remember who said this but this was the one that had me cracking up: "Edge and that stack of dimes he calls a neck."

That one had me :skip::laff:

Cause this fool almost DIED in the ring but everything goes. Everything is a fair topic.

Remember when Jerry Lawler had a heart attack on live TV?

They wheeled him out on a stretcher and rushed him to the hospital.

:ufdup: nobody said nothing that night. They gave him that one night off.

The next night, they was going IN. Asking if he was dead yet and saying all kinds of wild stuff about his weak heart.

Had me :ooh::krs::laff:

Trash talk is what puts butts in seats and thats what Ali brought to boxing. He turned boxing into a top of the food chain sport.

And folks in here disrespecting the god :hhh::francis:
