That playoff run was truly magical

Took out the a$$hole steelers who constantly bully us in our division.:ohlawd:

Took out New England who many ravens fans hate just as much if not more than the steelers.:ohlawd:

Took out denver who helmed by peyton manning who had knocked us out the playoffs soooo many times. :ohlawd:
It was Indy, Denver, and NE
The next year they beat the Steelers then lost to NE. Flacco played really good in both those games too except for that season ending interception to Torrey Smith

Dafuq? Flacco is still mediocre as hell. He throws a great deep ball, has all the physical ability in the world, and has hot streaks from time to time (like those playoffs) that highlight what he could be if he had any level of consistency. But he doesn't. He lacks all the mental intangibles that makes guys like Br*dy great. He can't be consistent, he goes through long lulls where he plays like absolute shyt - lacking short/intermediate accuracy, missing blitzes, throwing into coverage, checking down to his RB every other play. There are two Flaccos - great or fukking horrible and usually the fukking horrible guy wins out.

If you take out both of their fluke seasons (12 for Flacco and this year for Ryan), I still trust Ryan more as a QB, but he ain't much better to be honest. He's another guy that can move the chains, and he actually is more consistent than Flacco from my observations, but his shortcomings are different. I think he lacks a killer instinct. I have never been concerned about about my team facing a Matt Ryan led team because I know, despite his ability to make great throws and move the chains, he's not going to bury you. He'll make a key mistake and/or just play scared

During the playoffs I would taken Flacco over Ryan anyday. If things don't go his way Ryan folds. He's a choke artist who can't handle pressure, he just seems like he doesn't have willpower/luck/confidence/gaul to go and win when it matters. I don't think he'll ever earn a ring. Flacco earned his ring beating brady, roethlisberger, and manning in the playoffs.

Breh we didn't make the playoffs that season, nor did your team knock us out of contention either so..

I stand corrected yeah it was 5 years ago and got foggy.

Ask Ravens fans who they rather have as their QB.
It would be fun to see them switched for a season but I don't think Ryan would have as much success with our receivers. The stats would be better but he wouldnt have won as many playoff games.

Those regular season stats tho:noah:

Julio is lethal a straight killer, If the ravens didn't get screwed for dez we'd likely would have another superbowl

Boldin
Mason
Torrey Smith
Steve Smith

All great receivers but none strikes fear in the defense like julio.
